We went from Boost Factor to Hooters to the MacArthur hangout to chuckle at all the ugly-ass cars that showed up (okay, some nice ones too). Several cops, an ambulance and finally a fire truck gathered around near one of the exits to LBJ. Nobody could figure out what happened at first, but apparently someone got shot over there (couldn't hear it with all the exhausts around). Then a fist fight (with baseball bats thrown in) nearly broke out in another section. Predictions are that the cops will be breaking up any future gatherings. :( C'mon, guys, they're just CARS. Sheesh.

But we had fun during the meet anyway!

update on this situation..... We were at 635/McArthur last night when the Irving police department informed us that if we showed up again, we would get prosecuted for criminal tresspassing. that is not a ticket, that is immediate go to jail, do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars......

I guess its time for the Nissans to stage a meeting of their own and keep those FOBber hondaboys and the Wheaties Domestics away....

I don't think they can prosecute you for criminal trespassing. That's wack. As long as you have something from the stores, they can't say criminal trespassing. They are just scaring you. I haven't heard of such a thing. You are not illegally entering the premises. There is not any fence of any sort so why would that be criminal trespassing? As far as pulling you over later on and ticketing you for some bullshit, I say they can do that. That's why I have my corner light auburns and will be putting my front plates on my car so they don't have shit on me.

The way a Criminal Tresspass warning works is this. After you have been told the first time not to come back then by law they are allowed to arrest you. If you were not there when they told everyone else they might not be able to, but that mainly depends on wether on not they took down names when they gave the first warning. If they don't have your name down then the next time all they can do is run you off. I used to have to deal with this on a almost daily basis when I busted shoplifters as a Grocery Store Manager.

Also most shopping center parking lots are not owned by the stores but by a Management Company that runs the shopping center itself. So even if you did buy something from one of the stores it wont really help you. Also most of these managment companies dont like people just hanging out in their parking lots. It increases their liability. This is how it worked when I did this and I have only been out of the business for about 2 years now. I cant imagine that much has changed since I left.

of course the only meeting spot close to my house will get shut down, right? i hate irving police...giving me tickets for stuff i didnt do when they should be giving me speeding tickets...they dont realize i'll never learn my lesson this way! but then again, things come pretty easy when you're a girl, at least the tickets i got cost a whole lot less
