Hi about month ago I purchased a Tanabe exhaust for 99 SEL, I should be getting it in next month since there was no more in the states or at Mackin Industries anyways.. Does anyone have the the Hyper Medalion exhaust on their sentra or 200sx, would have bought the Greddy SP though I had one on my 240sx and the Flared rolled tip kinda didn't agree with me.

Well let me know what you guys think.:D
I didn't think they had any applications for Sentra's or 200sx's.

I was quite confused as to who offered what as well, though I'm in Tampa, Fl. and I went through a local shop and they first were going to get me the Greddy SP then Greddy stated that the SP would not fit since it was intended for the 200sx. So I had brought up that I had seen the Tanabe exhaust on some online stores, so they made call to Mackin and they said they could get it though it would take a while since they did not have any.. Now I am not sure if I will be recieving the Hyper Medalion or the Super Hyper Medalion which is the newest model offered in Japan that has a straight through design.

BTW, the Greddy SP for 98 200SX should fit 99 SEL. They use the same exhaust.
Do you have pic for your car? I want to see how well the 17 inch RH rims on a SEL would look like.

I dont have a pic at the moment, I am waiting for a friend to return my digital camera that lent out. I should have a pic up within the next day or so. The rims are quite nice, though the center caps wont fit up front due to the hub bolt.

It does not say anythign about HP gains from it, does anyone know how much HP you can get out of this exhaust? How much does it cost?

the greddy sp will fit a sel, you just have to cut about an inch off the pipe.

Here I found this web site shows price though as far as power gains I am unsure.

Yeah I found out that it would fit from someone at Courtesy Nissan in Texas, though the SP has too much show apeal for me. Great looking though a little too much, I used to have one on my 240sx and tip flare was more than I could handle. Later I switched to an Apexi Dunk universal w/ 3" piping all the way back from the dump pipe (not down pipe) when I went turbo, and the noise level was obsured. Which is why I will not go with a custom setup. I am going for casual sound levels and a sport apperance. :D

The Tanabe looks great. Be sure to post HP gains when you get it installed. I'm looking to get an exhaust but I really dont want something as (visually) loud as the Greddy.

The only think I don't particularly like about it is the 4 inch tip.

Oh boy.. Yeah I had seen up close and it is pretty big though it's not flared, I can live with that. I just can't wait to hear it.. That's what I love the most is the way one exhaust manufacture can make your car sound totaly different than the next. I can't wait!:D
