From Stoptech.com, the "warped" rotor myth explained:

I told Nathan (Black93) I'd send him this link, but thought others would like some technical reading.

After my personal experience at VIR with cheap brake pads one weekend, and good R4 pads the next, I agree with this article.

Thats why bedding the pads in properly is so important.

When I bought my car, the buy had raced it for years...since 1993, then it sat for a couple years, and the same brakes were on the car since the last race session. The front right outside pad had no pad....just metal to metal contact. The rear left rotor had about 2-3 centimeters of the outside diamter had come off of the rotor itself, sort of like a ring.

I can agree with what the article says but im not sure where it applies to me. Brakes are hard to get right.

I've never had a problem with OE pads like you have. Initially, I'd say your issue is possibly with the OE pad material not getting along with the material left from the previous pads. Get the rotors turned to remove those deposits and you should be good to go.

excellent reading! I had done a lot of racing before in various cars and had been told something close to this at the time. This article is very enlightening. Thanks!
