: Good DFW alignment places?

Hey, can anyone recommend a quality wheel alignment place in the Dallas area? I love using Dallas Frame and Alignment but they charge an arm and a leg usually. But I'm pretty anal about alignment (car tracks straight, steering wheel is centered) so I'm looking for a place that will put up with me.

Hey James, what's that place you use?

If you pay anything over $60, you're getting ripped off.

I did the Firestone lifetime deal... 130$ for unlimited alignments

Be careful about those "lifetime" alignments. There are alot of catches in the fine print. I work at an automotive place, and I can tell you that nothing you buy for your car can last a "lifetime" of the car. Not even the alignment.

Chain places like Firestone and that awful brake shop (can't remember the name, green sign? dragged my car out of there once) I avoid like the plague. Especially the ones that send you bait-and-switch coupons in the mail.

Friend (who works for a cash-only used car shop) recommended 4-M alignment in Lewisville.

Besides, hopefully I won't have this car for a lifetime! :D I think we're talking 2 more alignments max.

Since the only thing thats adjustable in our cars is the toe anyway (unless you have camber kits), its not going to need an alignment like a 300Z or a Miata. I've not aligned my car in almost 3 years and never once have I had tires wear out on me. Our cars are way too simple to have alignment problems.

Thanks for the info James. Now if I can only remember where Lancaster is ...

Hey you'd be so proud of me ... I lubed up my own ST swaybar rear bushing today with marine grease. Didn't take long, just used my ol' SE-R Classic jack to hold the bar in place while I took the bushing off to grease it. Forgot I still had a part of that car around ... now I wanna cry :(

Do the last gen Stanzas have the same mounts and stuff as the 240SX? That would be kind of a fun sleeper mod to put a SR20DET in there, wouldn't it? :D

Now that I have my suspension back to stock, I probably need an alignment too. Actually, I probably need one on both cars. Can we get a group deal James? ;)

I wish I had a ShigSpeed setup.....Shell, if those things are still lying around, I would be happy to volunteer my car for initial fitment and roadowrthiness testing. I mean, if it ends up being way too rough, you wouldn't want to mess up your SE-R with it, right? You would want to make sure that they work as advertised before taking apart your suspension. :D

I ended up using the one my used car dealer bud recommended, 4-M alignment in Lewisville, 972-436-7250. Ask for Reg. Call for an appointment (they keep pretty busy). Paid about $50.

It wasn't off too much before (I had the expensive alignment done by Dallas Frame mentioned above last year) mostly the rear toe-in was off. But my bud says they're willing to work on it till it's right if there's a prob.
