well as some of you have seen me requesting info on the swap whats needed etc etc. i already started the project.

i started friday since it was slow at the dealer so i was able to drop my auto trans. thats all i had time for that night since i cant stay overnight (i woulda if i coulda!)

saturday i was hoping for a slow day even though i didnt make any hours during the week just to be able to at least get the manual trans in.

scratch that. we closed at 5 and i had problems with a maxima i was doing rear brakes and cables on. all the bolts kept breaking on me while i was loosing them! so it was time to go but i was able to stay since sales didnt close till 7. long story short i was able to get the annoying bushing for the auto trans out after trying to use a sliding hammer puller thingy (forgot the exact name) so i just grease the hole up :P and pounded a socket into it to cause pressure to push it out. viola!

i popped the pilot bushing in put the flywheel on and had anough time to get the clutch and pressure plate on.

so tomorrow im going in early to pop the manual trans in. im still waiting on one of the rods, cable clips, trans mounts and shifter boot and the clutch pedal.

i will keep u guys updated on my progress and try to take some pics. i forgot my digi cam fri and sat. so i was unable to do it plus i was doing it between other jobs.

i would not recommend anyone to do the swap if u can get a manual from the get go as it is a expensive swap and the only reason im doing it is due to some luck i landed into. all in all the swap with everything will total to about 400 bucks and labor is being done by me

soon i hope my sentra will be able to compete with my 89 240....

maybe i will begin to mod out my se-l as well

alottttttttttttt less divide that by 3 and its around there 400 + or minus a few bucks.

Are you talking about Part # 38420RS360. If so let me know also.

how did you get a tranny that cheap? did you just go to a junkyard? and what year is the tranny from?

i dont know what the part # is but i asked the manager at work he said its only a mech. lsd for lsd equipped cars so there isnt one for non lsd tranny's :(

is that part # the right one that people said exists?

I was quoted $926 shipped from Courtesy for that part number. Maybe I can get a better price if I work directly with Brian.

Nismoparts.cc has not responded to my request for quote yet.

Steve, do you know what is involved with the installation?

Part # 38420RS365 is for the VSLD tranny,
Part # 38420RS360 is for the Non-Lsd Tranny,

Ask him to check both numbers and see what they say. Maybe I have the info backwards. I always deal with Brian on this unusual stuff. I have no idea how hard/easy of an install it would be. I also tried Nismoparts.com with no reply.

well the nmon lsd part # isnt even in the nissan motorsports catalog. where di you guys get the information that this would fit?

we looked up the part # in a nismo catalog my buddy ghas and the only listing for the 38420RS360 is for a g20 p10 and p11

it didnt list that part # under the b13 b14 platforms.

is courtesy getting them from nissan motorsports?

It's not in the catalog. Have the shop call Nismo directly. I got this info straight from someone who talked with a manager there. The new catalogs will supposedly to have this info.

ok everything is basically done all i need to fisih is to dril the hole for the cable linkage and get the clutch pedal bracket and the rear trans/motor mount bracket

i do have a ? to ask a few b14 owners.

there is no clip that holds the vcable in near the bracket close to the shift fork?

also there is another bracket that is more near the firewall of the linkage. where does that mount to? and how the hell does the spring fit on the shiter rod? if anyone can take a pic of these it would be helpful. the fsm doesnt do a good job of detailing these and neither do the parts dept pictures
