Tony,
I can’t remember the part number or even the exact size from when i pulled my A/C. The solution was relatively simple ***. I went to PepBoyz and asked to see the stock belt and one for the same car w/o A/C. Their part ID were basically two numbers, the # of ribs in the belt and the belt length. Classics w/o AC came set up for a 4 rib belt while w/ AC is 6. What you need is a 6 rib belt in the 4 rib (w/o AC) length, shorter as it doesn’t have to go round the compressor.
One little recommendation, get a new alternator adjusting bracket hold down bolt. The one you loosen to set the tension on this belt using that other loooong screw. Mine snapped shortly after final tightening, leaving me w/ a flapping alternator. I was lucky, the part that was left in the threads in the alternator spun right out when i put a drill bit to it. RySE-R 1 had this happen to him as well, not as lucky. He had to drill a new hole thru it and go w/ a new bolt/nut and quite a few washers.

thanks for the info, i hae tried to go to the parts stores around here but no one seems to have a 6rib belt in the size for a car w/o a/c..... but i have special ordered a belt from a local rubber specialties company here.. i think he said it was a 33 and3/4 inch belt... i hope this is the right one.....

Same here, James. I popped the 4-rib on after bolting the T28 up and removing the AC. Other than squealing like a pig until it was tensioned correctly.....it has so far worked like a charm. :D

Also running a 4-rib belt. Like Greg said, squealed for the 1st few days. I tightened a little each day until it stopped. The belt number I used is: 11920-77A00TM. This is a Nissan number. I got mine from Greg at Mossy Nissan, after the local dealership told me *Since we don't show a non-AC model for your year, we can't get you a belt*. Greg had it to me in 4 days.
