Have any of you done this? I tried to do it tonight and don't think that anything happened. I loosed the 10mm net and then twisted that plastic crew like piece and nothing happened. The control arm for the clutch doesn't have hardly any play. However, the cable has about an extra 1/2-3/4" of play. I went into it thinking it would adjust like the throttle cable---no luck.
Suggestions?
Thanks!

Don't take this the wrong way, but there are a few adjustments that you left out.
Pedal height and the clutch safety switch.
All of these need to be checked and adj. :)

Maybe so, but my own experience, and the experience of others I know is that adjusting the clutch cable is all that's necessary. I don't believe the switch, and pedal change over time, but as the clutch wears, and the cable stretches, you compensate for them by shortening the clutch cable.

So why don't you give us some input? I am kind of worried about adjusting it and then screwing it up to the point it won't start because of that switch on the pedal. If I don't do that, I am afraid I will adjust it wrong and then it will slip.
I think I can handle the adjustment in the engine compartment. The idea is to get all the slack out of the cable, right? Now my clutch pedal goes down about 3/4" before I feel any tension. Then it gets stiff from that point all the way to the floor. What does that tell you, anything?
I would love more input on this topic as I plan to try it sometime.

Have you ever adj. yours? If not try it. You can get the clutch pedal to move to where ever you like it best.

I have this exact same problem. The illustration on http://www.se-r.net/transaxle_clutch/adjust.html shows the locknut and then the square thingy and mine are right next to each other. I tried to loosen the nut and turn the wheel towards the clutch arm thingy and it won't budge. I've had my stock clutch for a year now and 3 weeks with turbo taking it easy on her and it doesn't make any sense. Any tips on adjusting it?
