I recently bought a 91 ser and have had problems with the gas pedal. Last night when I was driving my gas pedal stuck to the floor. It popped up on it's own after my rev limiter kicked in. This happened on a previous night, too. I am planning on changing the transmission fluids tomorrow as well as cleaning the throttle body. Does anyone have any other ideas as to how to remedy this problem?

Possibly replace the cable from the pedal to the throttle body. It might be dried up and sticking. Or there is so much gunk on the throttle body surface, that it will stick there.

Clean the inside of the throttle body real good AND make sure the outside casing is cleaned really good as well so that the throttle plate slide easily at the cable.

your foot carpet thingy might've run up
