Well, my car has been clicking forever it seems, i have not gotten around to replacing the cv axle on the driver side, which was making all the noise. Well, me and my best friend nismoser undertook the procedure last night with my rebuilt cv axle from napa auto parts. Let me just say this, without air tools, this job is quite difficult to say the least. The first obstacle is the 32mm hubnut that was quite the task to get off. Me, chris (nismoser) and his brother tried to get it off with the proper tool...deep socket 32mm with long adjustable socket wrench.....i was finally able to pry it free!! I used the dead lift method, and just gave it hell!! Next we had to get the control arm off, which was quite hard as well to get off to swing the rotor and strut out of the way. And then there was the halfshaft iteslf. This sucker took a lot of muscle and time to get out of the tranny. But we finally did it, and installing the new one perfectly wasnt an easy task either. WHen all is said and done, my clicking is gone and it feels great again. this was our first cv axle, and it took us a little over 2 hours to accomplish.....sorry for the length, but im thankful that its done.
