Well, I finally got around to getting the HS header welded and I put it on the car today.

I had a Pacesetter up until today, and honestly, I cant say I feel much of a difference between the HS and PS header. The only things that are noticble is the throttle response on the HS seems better, and the HS is a little quieter (total sleeper :))

Over all I am happy with the looks and performance of the HS, but if I had to pay $400+ for the HS, I dont think it would be worth it. I only bought the HS headers because I came across a good deal.

For those of you who are still in doubt about the Pacesetter header, dont be, it is the best bang for the buck in performance (not appearance).

After driving around for a day, I can say that I feel more power from the HS, but I will not change my statement about the PS being the best bang for the buck.

Here are some pictures of the HS header on the car.

which generation HS is this? apparently HS gen 5 is bitchin'! Also you now have flexpipe which will probably reduce the likelyhood of snapping exhaust parts.........

I'm pretty sure this is a 3rd gen HS, the 4th gen has the HS logo stamped on the flange, this doesnt.

Even if you can't feel much difference seat of the pants between the Paceshitter and the Hotshot, at least you can sleep well at night knowing that you are no longer supporting a company whose R&D process consists of cloning it's competition.

HARSH! But true even though I do own one. Bought it used!

NOTE: I spoke with Pacesetter a few weeks ago inquiring about a donut gasket for the ball socket flange (completely different story, anyow...)and they stated very openly that they stopped complete production on the SR20DE header and have no plans to start production back up ever since they moved there manufacturing from Mexico to in-house.
