Ok well I am in the process of removing the dash and need to know if I need to remove the air bag to remove the dash. I have removed everything but the it seems to be stuck on the air bag panel.

I seem to recall that the passenger side airbag could only be removed when the dash was removed from the car. I had a hard time removing mine at first, I finally found out that there were two hooks up in the corners next to the windshield that were holding it in place. Unfortunately, I ended up breaking one of them.

I basically put my interior from my totaled se-r into a stripped down/no option 1.6 200sx.

Yeah I removed the everything holding it in but the air bag cover seem to be holding me back from removing the dash. It is real loose everywhere but around the air bag cover.

i think u take out ur glove box first or whtever the f there called and u should be able to reach up there and uhook it and take it ou.make sure u disconect ur battery and dont mess with ur air bag for about 10-20 mins. or so.that shit will blow up in ur face.and they are fun to blow up.put one under a garbage can or something and watch it send it in the air like 10 feet.. lol.

you do have the remove the glove box. even then it is a pain in the ass to see what you are doing. you will need a t50 tamper proof torx bit to remove the airbag. those are the easy ones to remove..b/c iirc there is an additional 2 bolts holding the bag in. i have to remove my steering wheel, turn signal controls, and wiper controls to remove the dash as well. you may not have to.
