Well I was heading out tonight on 680 (ca sf bay area).

I was driving the speed limit in the SLOW LANE. Go figure. So anyhow I'm 4 miles away from work, I was going i to fix some servers.

I put the blinker on about to get in the middle lane. I proceed over when all of a sudden I see this HUGE ASS BASKET BALL SIZE metalic thing rolling at me..

well by the time I even say a word, BAM!!

There goes my front left tire.. I coast over back in to the slow lane. As I do this I look in the rear , I see this thing bouncing off of cars left and fucking right.

I pull over to look at the damage. My Rim is all fucked up, tire is flat. I jump back in the car grab a flash light when all of a sudden this dude in a Toyota Carolla comes pulling up behind me. I look over, he get out of the car and starts cussing.

I ask him..

"Yo dude got a flat too!?"

He repiles "YES"

He hit that the same thing. Well to make a long story short. He had some nice ass momo rims and well they got fucked. He had a 6 month old boy crying his head off. I took the baby and held him while he used the jackstand and shit from my car on his.

He was so fucked, cause he had lock nuts on his rims and did not have the KEY! So now we are just pissed. I mean a crying baby, two nice rides with mods all disabled on the side of the road.

Then comes the CHP!
He asks if we are cool, we said yes, then I ask the officer ..

"So how many other cars got jacked up".

He says/// "there are 6 back there down the freeway!"

He told me we ran over part of a tranny, and the car it's from is not around. I told him right away, look for a truck with parts in the back of it, cause there is no way this car is driving.

Anyhow...
I have one fucked up rim now.. lucky the tranny did not crack, or any other things, I check for fluids, leaks... nothing was wrong..

so now I have to get a one 96 SE-R rim and tire. I have some nasty scraps under the car. But Me and the dude next me were lucky, down the road there was

1. RV with broken Drive Shaft
2. A honda with busted block. :eek:
3. another car with no bumper / fender
4. more flat tires..

Good thing I had a fellow SER bud help me and hooked me up with his stock rim for the time being.

Oh what a night.. but hell thats life :D

so Tell me who gets the dog , me or the deer! LOL!!!!!!!! :D

Holy shit man, that really sucks. Glad to know that the wheel is the only thing that got damaged. Good to hear you're ok though.

Thanks again, sorry if this is post in the wrong forum, i'm more less needed some ideals of what else to check IN CASE other stuff is messed up.

I know Alignment is a MUST!

I've checked..

1. Tranny
2. Block
3. Oil Pan
4. Sway Bars
5. Looked foe Exhuast Damage
6. Checked other tires and rims.

Any other ideals would be greatfull.

Yeah I'm ok.. just some insane shit.. how often do you run over tanny parts, well I'm sure it's common but not to me.

I look at it this way. I could have busted the oil pan, fucked the front end up and all that shit!

I was changing lanes and it was on the 'dots" the trunk was kinda pointed up at the car. I almost crapped when I saw it. It was only in my vision for half a second then Clunck, clunk!! It banged the bottom of my car, but did no damage. I think the branches cleaned my under body!:D
I must have had my Angel with me. I don't know how I cleared *** trunk..

Well I'm getting my Tire, Loaned Rim and Alignment Fixed in a few hrs.

I'm lucky, I could have had it way worse. Every time I think of this I laugh...

You should have seen that tranny part on the fwy... looked like cars were playing soccer with it!

You may want to check your local laws and DOT responsibilities. You may be able to get your state or county to pay for the damage incurred while on public roadways. Some state and counties are required to keep their roads clear of any potholes, debris, and road hazards.

In Hawaii, if your rims are damaged by a pothole, you can actually get the County to pay for the replacement.

Yeah I am actually looking in to this. I know Cali has some type of rules with is, but It may not cover with my situaltuon. I know if it were the City/State who caused the damage. they would pay.

But yes in deed I'm looking into that. I'll search for some of the stuff you menetioned. Thanks Alot!!! :)

thats exactly what happen to mine when my tire went out on the freeway. it cost me about 150 to fix it.

Yeah my neighbor was cruising along a section of 101 and a rock hit his windshield. Caltrans was working in the areas (not at the time but still had all the stuff there) and they replaced the windshield and his headlights.

Lucky bastard.

I have a homie with a 200sx SE-R same year as mine. Since he has wheels he kept his stock wheels for back up, So I am using one rim until I get the rim I'm buying from a member here on the forum.

I went got the tire and all that today... to bad money does not fly out my ass like shit does! :D

Unless this is where you are getting the rim from, check the for sale section, some guy is selling his stock rims for $75 a piece.

DAMN DUDE!!! I'm glad you are okay man. Imagine if it had popped up and went through your windsheild. I shudder to think. Still it sucks about the rim but I'm glad the rest of your car was/is okay. People haul ass on 680 throught the mountains with all the windmills. Probably feel off some idiots truck bed who was half drunk. Good driving on your part to save most of your car.
