alright i have my NX2000 and on my SAFCII when i come to an abrupt stop the volts fall dramatically and my belt squeals..

MY Alternator belt is tight and crack free, and i have relocated my battery to the back of the car and its a new Optima Red top so it cant be the battery..

could it be the alternator???

or maybe the gauge of wire i used isnt big enough its a bit bigger than stock so it shouldnt be that...:biggthump

this may sound retarded, but check the pivot bolt on the alternator.

Your belt is too tight. Go loosen it some.

My car, when I come to a complete stop, sometimes will drop down to like 600rpms and then come back up to 1100rpms and repeat three times before it mellows out at 750rpms. When I does that, the alternator isnt spinning as fast as it should. So the voltage drops really quickly to about 13volts and then comes back up to 14.4. Im pretty sure my car does this because of my lightweight flywheel. My boys 300ZX also did the same thing after he replaced the flywheel. So I think its just a regular Nissan thing. Nothing to worry about.

But the belt squealing thing isnt good. Loosen the belt

What he said^^^ or i had this issue too, go check your ground on the alternator, mine was loose and i hadn't sanded down the spot before i put it on and my volts kept jumpin around, then i sanded the ground and the spot on the alt. and tightened the hell outa it and now its fine

Its not a regualr nissan thing for rpm to dip that low or voltage to drop. SOmething is wrong. I had a boosted motor with a 9lb flywheel and had no such problems.

its either you battery, alternator, or belt.

And all of those have been replaced on my car literaly 3-4 weeks ago and it still does it! Ive seen it happen on other SE-Rs, NX's, and 300ZX's too.

Its nothing to be alarmed about. If you really want to be anal then go clean your AICV too...

Inspect your alternator, maybe the main wire is burnt or it needs grounding or maybe the main fuse is gone. I don't know check everything or get an electrician to look at it
