Hey blokes. I just picked up a Cat back HKS Sport exhaust that I was going to try to cut and fit to my NX. This is not possible. So it's 4 sale. $470.00 obo + ship ($12-$30), but if you are near West Palm Beach FL. and wish to pick it up, then of course no shipping. I really wish it could be cut to fit, :( but the muffle is 4" too long. No chance. Drop me an e-mail if you are interested otherwise it goes on e-bay in a few days. celica_gt4@bellsouth.net

Boy you guys do not listen to me. No, Ian doesn't really know. He just wants to sound important. I DID ALL THIS YEARS AGO. NO SE-R exhaust will fit except a Borla.

I'm wondering how some people manage to cut the Classic systems to fit the NX. I will try to find the posts on my early question about fit. Next time I listen to you.:) So now I have this brand new HKS... what do do? I'll just throw it away. :D This is where e-bay takes over.

the worst part is that my Nissan parts guy, whom I have been buying from since 93, said that the rear muffler part # was the same for the NX & SE-R. I think he was just too lazy to check them out.

If you go to www.walkerexhaust.com, you can find schematics of both a stock NX2K exhaust system and a stock Classic exhaust system. (Go through Catalog Lookup)

The Walker part number for each respective model is different, so yeah, I think you're right about your Nissan parts guy not really checking , I'm sure Nissan shows different part numbers for each model as well.

Hope you make out okay with the HKS sale.

I am sure that it will sell real quick. Take a $30.00 loss as a lesson learned and the HKS will be gone quick as a dust particle in a rain storm. (huh?)

"pretty white". yah I figured that's about what I would post it on e-bay for ($445.00 or so). I'm going to put it on later today. Lessons aren't always cheap.

Well it's on E-bay now. Check it out. Hey "Pretty White", how does the info look? Thanks bloke. Hmmmmm... there's still time to try and hammer it under the car. with the right amount of hitting, it just might stay in. ;)

With tons of hacking and banging off the swaybar. unless you got a greddy made for a Civic, (which I believe the muffler may fit a NX cause it looks short). I was going to investigate it but gave up.

swaybar was untouched. it is close to the rear bumper cover, but who cares? It took 2 cuts and very professional rewelds and presto! GReddy on an NX!

I was looking at some sort of Honda exhaust in the magazines that looked like it might fit with a little pipe cut and hanger work. So am I onto something?

Cossie

BTW: My new HKS cat back for an Classic is down to $430.00. I know 100%, it can't be fitted to my NX without insane amounts for work.

"FastNX", did you use the Greddy for a Honda or for a Classic?

it was the exhaust for a classic. I waited 5 months for this exhasut and then i finally got it and got under the car to install it ans it didnt fit!!! I was so pised I called the shop that sold it to me and screamed profanities for over a munte.. They told me to calm down, they sent me to a very expensive muffler shop and footed the bill ($300 canadian) for the very impressive retrofit.

P.S. Am I the only one?
