SO im driving on the freeway today when all of a sudden, i look up and no vacuum, i hit the gas and the boost goes all the way up then falls and back up again. So i get off the freeway and pop my hood, no vacuum lines poped off and the all the tees looked fine. So i look at the nylon line running to the gauge for kinks or somthing its fine. Can a gauge just die like that. THe gauge worked fine for almost two months reading vac and boost at lightning speeds. THe idle is still fine and the car runs great. WTF.

OH yeah when i shut off the car the gauge jumped to 5psi!!

Check that brass ferrule on the back side of the gauge. Just a thought. Other than that, I don't have an answer.

Well, I monkey wrenched the fittings to go over the nylon that came with the gauge too hard and it ended up kinking it in both fittings... I made up my own connection using females to barb fittings both on the car and on the gauge itself... let me know if you'd like to try this... it works great...

Well maybe it's the cheap Autometer quality? I've heard plenty of bad stuff about them, well at least the boost guages and I'm gonna go with a better brand name... even though it'll be much more :(
