My friend is going turbo on his SR and we need to know if we should:

1.) Vent the BOV into the air
2.) Vent it back into the intake tract
3.) Somehow switch to a MAP system

I have heard that venting the Blow off pressure into the air will screw with the Air/Fuel ratio... Or maybe it was the other way around?

Recirculate it back into the intake tract, as Nissan designed it to be. :)

If he wants to switch to a Map sensor then he has to get a Stand alone system (TEC 3, Speed pro ect..) or Greddy E-Manage

= a lot of money, just recirculate it and let the car run right, it just wont make as cool a noise.

Hey if you really wanna know. Do a search in the forum. There has been plenty of threads on this. And the debate will never end. Just avoid the opinions and look at the facts.

As much as I loved the bov noise. It ran really crappy...engine dies all the time especially after shifts.. Its better off you redirecting it. You can still hear it..just not as loud. I heard if you use a steel pipe to redirect the air instead a vacuum hose you can hear it more.

save the embarrasment of dying at red lights, run it back into the intake line by the turbo inlet. i have it like that on my det and it runs fine and you still hear it just not mega loud. it isnt worth the sound
