"classic" SE-R and the NX2000...

does anyone know if they did anything to the ECU or anything else that affects engine performance??

the rev limiter hits earlier in the NX2000(~7600), while the SE-R is like 7900, but it seems like the NX2000 pulls slighter harder on the topend... not a huge difference overall, but it seems different..

pls let me know

Nope. Redline is 7500rpms for both. *Indicated* redline might be different since the factory tach is notorious for being inaccurate.

NX2000 weights slightly more than SE-R. 50lbs or something like that.

I gotta say the NX looks better in current times.................of course, it all depends on how you make your classic/nx look =)

I'm unbiased so long as it's a Nissan

Let's see, I recently owned a 92 classic se-r and a 93 NX2K at the same time, while the NX was fully loaded, a/c, PW, etc, my sentra is power nothing. I had a JDM engine in the NX,short shift kit, new clutch, WAI, header and full exhaust w/ high flow cat. My sentra has WAI and a high flow cat. The sentra was slightly quicker, although the NX handled better and of course had better brakes. Looks wise, they are both great looking cars, not sure which looks better, depends on the car i guess. NX is definately unique, but having 3 seatbelts in the backseat really helps with kids. I love my new classic, but really miss the NX (its been nice lately and I really miss those T-tops.) I sold the NX to a new forum member Xavos, here about 10 mins away from my house. Maybe we will have to race when he learns to drive the car the way its supposed to be driven!!!(its his first 5 speed)

LOL, classic cuts at 7900rpms? Damn. So the JWT ECU actually lowers the fuel cut to 7800? :)

I had read once that the NX puts out 3 less ft/lbs of torque. I don't understand that but that is what i read.

In Car and Criver it was supposed to be 2ft lbs lower.

If you could change the front fascia, I'd like the NX. The other problem is it has the "girl car" stigma. IMO, classics are better. Not trying to instigate anyone.

looks wise, there is nothing sweeter than a freshly waxed, jet black classic at dusk. Its a thing of beauty I tell ya. :D

Looks are all just a matter of personal prefrance. I like both. But we all know that when it comes down to it that the NX is a much better car. In any contest of speed :)

haha, sorry wasn't trying to start anything...

just wanted some facts about differences if any... the cars we've driven could just have slight manufacturing differences.. who knows...
