Anybody from the Birmingham, Alabama area go to the "Nationals" or what some people call the "Street Races", on Saturday Nights??

We meet up on 3rd avenue south off of I65 in birmingham around 11pm. We ride to lakeshore, or other long stretches of road. I usually stay out til about 3 or so in the morning. I have SO much fun. I plan to go this saturday night if my car is ready......

hey man, u gonna come down this weekend? I am gonna pull out my old engine and put in a JDM engine and do the clutch and pressure plate while I am at it. I hope to have the car ready by saturday night.....

Oh, no, not this weekend... I have my hood off getting painted and I'm waiting on a replacement MAF sensor (I jacked mine up). Keep me posted here on the goings on and I'll let you know about when I'll be ready.

I should have the MAF sensor on next week along with the nitrous kit and have the hood back on in 2-3 weeks.

Yeah, the Ms. Winners/Texaco is where some people meet, but it is too crowded and people have fender-benders there all the time....i get there around 11 or 11:30 at Zaden's parking lot. It is right beside the Ms. Winners/texaco. Matter of fact, once u get off the interstate, you will come to it first. I hope to have my JDM engine in by tommorow night, otherwise, I might not make it this weekend....

So if I'm coming in I-65 southbound, which exit do I take? Is it near UAB? I'm very familiar with the Samford & Lakeshore area but not as familiar with the UAB area (always too drunk to pay attention by the time we partied over there!)

u are gonna want to take the 3rd or 4th avenue exit (I dont come southbound that much) and head to the left....so be a chevron on the exit....I THINK...

my car will probably be ready around the July 4th weekend..., maybe the weekend after that? There's another guy from up here that'll probably want to go, too.

i have the jdm engine in my car, its just not running yet. I have a friend with a g20 and he is gonna come over tommorow and let me make sure all my wires are in the right place. after that i am gonna try to start it up. hope to take it down saturday night. but here lately, nothing goes as planned.

Well, I finally got mine running. Its just not running right yet. I have ordered some performance goodies for it and they are on backorder. So to say the least, I am behind schedule as well. I hope to have it up and running soon. I have said that for the past month and a half, but I am certain this time. ETA til I can reek havoc on the streets: 2 Weeks! Even then, I am gonna have to let the clutch break-in and re-break-in the motor. I will definately PM you, email you, and reply here when my car is ready. The world will know when my SE-R is alive and kicking ass again!

my car is up and running, but havent worked all the bugs out yet. First it was the idle, then the next day it was the belts, then the next it was the alternator, now it is an exhaust and radiator leak. Nothing like trying to put on some mile and driving hard to find your cars newly noticed weak spots....I NEED TO LEARN PATIENCE! But i want to go down to the drag track probaly next friday or saturday night in montgomery(best drag track in the southeast or atleast in alabama)
