I am installing JWT S3's in my motor today with JWT cam gears. I was wondering if anyone knew where to set the cams at?

T3/T4

What's up Jon? I think the s-3's will work ok just installed strait up with the stock gears. I could be wrong I've been before.:(

I've heard no such stories about needing any cam gears to go with the cams you are installing. Cam gears are if you wish to adjust the cam timing, right? They will work with stock I believe. I don't have modded cams, I'm just going on theory.

But his car is turbo'ed so cam gears are beneficial for him.

I believe advancing the exhaust cam a few degrees will help the turbo spool a little quicker.

Well, I didn't get to install the cams today, I wound up spending all day preping the engine compartment for paint, so everyone keep making suggestions.

I believe I read advance one of the cams 2.5 or 3 degrees and retard the other the same amount... do a search on the turbo forum and the se-r lists, Mike Kojima made a comment about it.

Yes, I have been looking for it on the turbo forum but just haven't had any luck........

OK, I was told by JWT to set the cams this way, set the intake at 2.5- & 2.5+ on the exhaust, anyhow you can give JWT a calland ask them for sure.

Yes, I found that info on the forum yesterday and set them that way.
