Man this cam project has been onthing but trouble. Well i got my VC torqued down correctly and then i go to put the distributor back in and it dont fit. I just cant get the damn thing in the hole, any ideas?

I believe you have to set the distributor in position first and then put the valve cover on and torque it.

no, hes right, the vc goes on first, then distributor.
however, look inside the hole where the distributor goes. you have to match that up with the peice on the distributor or it wont go in
to get it to align the right way, put a wrench on the crank and turn until its aligned

That shouldn't be a prob because the rotor head can rotate to mate with the cam. But i cant even get it in that far, so its not even the cam thats the prob. :(

Okay i had to un torque the two cam cap bolts that are outside the VC. Once i did that it fit and then i retorqued it to 15 ft-lbs. So im good to go now, thanks guys!
