anyone have this problem? My buddy bought an NX and his passenger side windwo will not go up or down (power windows). All of a sudden once I go my car back on the road, the passenger side window won't work! My brother went to test drive an NX and the passenger side window didn't work!!! Anyone encounter this and/or knikw how to fix it?

The switch is probably gone. Try opening the passenger window from the drivers side. If it works, you know it's the switch.

yah i just located the fuse for the windows, it's not inside, it's by the battery, and will require tools to get at. I wll investigate shortly............

Just after we bought our NX, I'm driving along, girlfriend in passenger seat, middle of winter. All the sudden the passenger window rolls down, the girlfriend blames me for hitting the switch (I'm 6'5" so space is at a premium) with my knee. I apologized and kept going, about 5 mins later the same thing. I swore it wasn't me! We later found that locking the passenger window kept it up.

About 2 weeks later we get an alarm installed, by now we're used to the window being locked. The alarm works the power door locks for two weeks, all is well (except the damn window) for a week. Then the alarm stops locking the doors.

So we call up the install place and book an appointment, they work on it for 4 hours, can't fix it. They swear they have a guy at another location that can fix anything electrical. So we book an appointment with him. 30 mins and he's got it fixed, (we didn't tell him about the window thing at all) he said he unhooked the car's option that when you put the key in one side door and unlock it unlocks the other side. He said we wouldn't need it cause we had remote unlocking on the alarm anyways which unlocks both sides, made sense to us!

I turned off the window lock button on my way home, cause I was just curious about it. What ever he did fixed that problem too! The window now goes down only when it has permission

If you can still hear the motor spinning I'll
say the gear or slip bushing on it has stripped.
I've seen this on 3 NX w/ power windows.
$$$ to replace if its the gear. If its the rubber
bushing you can fix it yourself.
