: Dyno results!
SE-Rican 05-26-2002, 11:35 PM Well guys I am most impressed and pleased with my new results! The best I have done on the dyno with the following mods was 146.2 HP 132.8 ft/tq
- JDM motor
- H/S header
- PR CAI
- UR pullies (2 set)
- MSD SCI ignition
- 2 1/4 exhaust and a GReddy SP muffler
Today I went to the Dyno and the only mod I have done since has been JWT S4's and a little tunning my Andreas Miko and my outcome was awesome! 157.5 HP and 134.0 ft/tq.
here is a link of my dyno sheet:

DaGenesis 05-27-2002, 02:55 AM looks good, i hope my motor will be that strong some day
PlanoSER 05-27-2002, 08:59 AM badass #s dude. not tryin to rain on your parade but the spike at the end doesnt count coz thats bouncin off the rev limiter.. it looks more like 153-154whp which is hella strong nontheless ;)
llaprad1 05-27-2002, 01:48 PM Hot damn, you FL boys are kickin ass!
I need to move down there with you guys and Andreas... he *is* the man. I got to be part of this whole black wheel thing, too.
Looks like those S4's really round out the top end, huh?
I bet they make you not want to shift!
Serban 05-27-2002, 02:06 PM Black wheels is what gives us the high HP down in FL ;)
Nice numbers Rob, keep up the good work.
Impressive numbers man. Big Congrats!!! I need to follow suit and get those cams!!! Oh and thanks for giving jon the idea about the rims!;)
97SENTRASER 05-27-2002, 08:02 PM GREAT JOB BRO.!!!!!!!!!!! I know you were going nuts!!!!!

Now would that B.R.P. or "burp"?
Mindset 05-27-2002, 08:41 PM What was your timing set at? I just got the s4 cams.
I plan to dyno my car soon and hopefully I will get 155whp. Before the cams i had 148whp and 135 torque.
BTW great #'s.

Cooper91SE-R 05-27-2002, 08:43 PM Those are Great Numbers bro, now go out and get the Honda boys.
Nice job.
SE-Rican 05-27-2002, 08:58 PM Thanks alot guys!
The first run I had my timing set at 11 degrees and I got 151 hp . My second run I bumped the timing up to 15 degrees (thanks for the help Serban) and I got 155hp. The third and final run I got the 157hp. Once again I am stoked!
Pretty soon hopefully we will see some numbers into the 160 hp range! The master mind behind my car has some plans!!;)
Mindset 05-27-2002, 09:10 PM Thanks, I guess ill just keep it at 16 deg. BTW, not to be a dick, but you really only got around 154whp like PlanoSER said. And its not like 154whp is something to take lightly.

alex29 08-26-2003, 08:52 AM hello Robert
my name is George and i live in Europe. i have NX 2000. I need your opinion about a problem with my car. I dynoed the car and the dyno show something unussual. While in 6200 i have almost 148 wheel hp, from 6400 to 6800 i notice a drop in power, and after that i have another increase up to 7300.
you can see my dyno at ftp://career.aueb.gr/elga/NxDYNO.jpg
the A/F as you can see is correct
ftp://career.aueb.gr/elga/nx-af.jpg.
my mods are
home made CAI.
hotshot gen4 headers
custom exhaust 2 inches (maybe it is too small)
jwt s4 cams
powerchips ECU
looking at my dyno i think the cause of the drop may be the small exhaust, or more likely the advance timming although when i put manually the timming to 11 deggrees the shape is exactly the same.
maybe powerchips advances the timming too much at this rps causing a pinking and thus computer pulls the timming back and drops the power.
what do you think? i notice you use MSD IGNITION , is it for that purpose?
thanks in advance for your answer.
Georgios Alexandris
Serban 08-26-2003, 11:03 AM George, you can put the timing up to about 15-17 degrees with no problem at all, 11 degrees seems a bit low. And with all the mods you have, you should open the exhaust up a little more. Go with a 2.25" diameter.
LudeSER13 08-26-2003, 11:34 AM about what times are you looking at in the 1/4 with this hp?
SE-Rican 08-26-2003, 02:02 PM Wow this post came back form the dead!
The car since then has put down a few more whp. The car has was dynoed recently. All motor it has now put down 159.8 whp at 135.8 ft/tq.
I have not had a chance to run it down the 1/4. We are estimating more or less a 14.5 on some good tires.

thanks for your reply, the dyno pull you can find in my ftp server is done with the timming at 15 degrees. So thats not my problem.
i agree for the small diameter of my exhaust, the peculiar think is the shape of the curve in my powerband. take a look at my link.
while it is fine up to 6400, starts to go down 8 wheel hp up to 6800, and then climbs up again up to 7300.
i just asked Robert because in his listed mods i saw Msd ignition, and due to my right AFR , i think that maybe thats my problem.
is it possible only the small exhaust to cause such a problem?
or do u think the bad shape of the curve is due to wrong programming in my ECU advance timming?(just to check , i put the advance timming manually to 11 degrees to check a change in the power curve, but the only thing i noticed is a drop of power all over the powerband.)
Roberts car is tuned by Andreas so , he may do a couple of suggestions to my problem, or how i can raise a couple of hp.
Any suggestions?
thanks guys and congratulation for 160 wheel hp Robert.
