Would not an Sr20 running nitrous be quicker with 16deg. timing versus 13degrees, if detonation can successfully be avoided? Also would not the same be true for wide versus tight plug gaps, Say .035 versus .025 for instance? Thanks

That's why NX doesn't recommend retarding the timing... Just increase your octane and you'll be fine.

I would suggest throwing nothing but pure 100 octane from a drum or someplace where you know it's not from an underground tank, unless you know how long it's been there.

In some cases you would increase your spark advance with nitrous. You don't need to run as much retard on cold days or during night racing. So you can add a little more timing from your base 13 degrees. You add about 1 degree for every 10 degrees in ambient temp.

I think the scale starts around 60-70F degrees, I have to check on that.
