If youcan find them, get the aebs 4-1 header they're way better than the hotshot header but they are big...............try calling Group 5 motorsports.

And plano se-r went a 14.7 with one. But Matt and Parker are good driver's. Plus they had a good tuner.

I spent a lot of time asking the same question as you. Personally, I would only go with the Hotshots. The Gen 4s and upcoming 5s are great quality units and have a very good power curve. One of mine blokes ran a 14.4 (documented at Moroso) with boltons and the 3rd gen Hotshots. Think about it for a moment... Hotshot is using 14 gauge steel and they have a solid rep, even though I had a small surface problem with mine, I have to say they are outstanding. Though the AEBS (4-1) do give the best power increase that I have seen, they are a tough fit, low to the pave and can rattle against the cars under bits. The sad story is I know some one who had to get his rewelded because it cracked after a short time. Sorry, but I (& clients) have dealt with Pacesetter in the past with several cars and never liked their quality. I have read posts about headers before and Hotshot has the most satisfied customers so far. I think that's why many SR20DE magazine project cars use them.

Pacesetter isnt the best quality, and you may see 2-3 more hp with hotshot. Bang for the buck go for the pacesetter. If you plan to keep the header more than 2yrs get a hotshot!!

hot shot hot shot hot shot,
pacesetter is crap, I know they can make good numbers and propel a good quarter mile time but, they are thiefs who cant even come up with their own ideas.

WELL said. Hotshot totally supports the SE-R community. CAI's, Turbo kits, 5 different generations of a header. Support the hand that supports you.

Yeah yeah yeah, HS is there to support us all, and charge us an arm and a leg for a header...go with a Pacesetter if you can find one. I had one, and have had no problems with it, plus check my dyno numbers...thats PACESETTER POWER!

I will admit, I have a HS header now, but only because it was really cheap (less than a new Pacesetter). For that price, I can't go wrong.

Between the 2, the HS is better, so if you can find a cheap HS header (under $250), get it, otherwise, look for a Pacesetter before they are all gone.

The header is a 3rd gen HS. I got it used for $100 from Andreas Miko, I dont know for sure if he has any others laying around.

Has anyone in here ever heard of SMS Headers. They were the best headers to have for a Honda really expensive but the absolute best. I want to give the guy a call that makes them see if can hook up something for the SE-R. His name is Dave Stadilus.

you DO realize that you get what you pay for right? I could make you a header out of old toilet paper rolls and sell it to you for $10 if you want

AEBS has a slight advantage over the HS gen 3, but that new gen 5 is a force to be reckoned with. If I were to buy header these days it would be a hotxhot. in fact i may replace the Stillen with it some day.

See, 99 out of 100 sober SR20DE blokes say Hotshot. I think that says it all. Got to go, need more JD in my glass. :D

AEBS does have a revised sr20 header being made as we speak. It should be released in late summer/early fall. They have made some minor alterations to it, especially regarding the infamous clearance issues. From what they said yesterday, they didn't shorten the primaries. It was more of an angle thing and a redesigned collector. (i think redesigned collector. i am old and my memory is sketchy) they did say that hp should be on par, if not slightly better than the previous version. It should retail for $450.
