i got a new starter, spark plug, spark wire and the motor wont fire. *** can be the problem. i have a 99 g20t with ve. *** i changed the spark plug, i set the gap to .033. i dont *** if that a correct gap for the spark plug. *** i try to start it, i hear the starter turn. but no luck in firing. i will appericate for your help.

Was this car just swapped?

If so you may have the fuel lines on backwards.


If the car has been running just check the basics. Make sure you have spark and fuel.

nope. motor was install *** car was purchased.

Double check that the plug wires go to the right cylinders. Check the coil wire. Check all around the distributor for loose wires and connectors.

Then check for spark at the business end of the plug wire.

Check for gasoline being supplied to the injectors.

Then come back with your findings.
