basic set-up:
72lbers @ 3 bar
Z32 blow through
JDM DE (9.5:1)
JWT ECU tuned for all of the above

my car doesn't want to idle when cold... i seem to think the JWT program isn't quit tuned right. and yes i have injector resistors....

i have my SAFC 2 set to +50% at idle just so it would run. even then, my AEM UEGO gauge reads off the charts lean.

idles fine @ normal operating temp.

i called JWT to ask about the problem with the old 72lb programs and the guy told me that they "never had a problem before" .

i tested the idle control valve on the Nissan Consult II.

any suggestions or if anyone could point me in the right direction i'd be very greatful.

thanks,
Mark

AEM UEGO not connected correctly.... does the car drive good?

Yep, I have that exact same problems and it actually idles a little too well when cold at above 1500rpm.

Did you check the cold idle thingy on the bottom of the intake manifold?

i was planning on that soon, but something tells me that even if it is broken, when i fix it and it opens up then that's just adding air to my idle and it's going to make it more lean.... i don't know.

i'm assuming you haven't figured this problem out yet???

i really hope it's not my tune...

thanks for the feedback.

I had problems with my jwt 740cc program and needed to give it gas to keep it from shutting off when cold. I gave it more fuel pressure and after a couple of days the problem went away, I guess the ecu just needed to adjust and learn. A couple of days after that I took it to the dyno and the car was running lean so before I turned the pressure up I was really lean.
