: How to get fuel with 50 shot dry

Finally got my 50shot dry installed, my question is, how do you guys get the needed fuel when running this setup? Do you need some device to raise the fuel pressure? Also, what is the ideal location for the jet? I have it right in front of the TB right now.

Are stock plugs OK with a 50 shot, or should I go to something else?

TIA,

Dave--

What brand setup did you get? NOS...ZEX...NX....??? Fill us in.

I ran a wet direct-port setup for 2 years, so my knowledge of dry setups is very limited. Having said that....I would imagine on our cars, the easiest way to get the fuel is to let the ecu see the added oxygen via the O2 sensor, and let the ECU add the fuel itself.

A risky proposition. Maybe it will work. Maybe not.

Raising the fuel pressure just opens up a can of worms I'd rather not get into.

My suggestion? Convert your dry setup to a wet setup. If you plan on going NO FURTHER than 50hp, it will be fine. You can then simply 'tee' off the fuel line between the filter and the fuel rail for your supply of fuel. Easy.

Back the Fogger nozzle away from the TB opening a good bit: If it's right at the TB, you'll have distribution problems galore, and one or more cylinders will not get their fair share of nitrous (oxygen). Boom.

Edit: Dave, love the pipes! If we weren't on opposite sides of the country, I'd have bought a set in a heartbeat after adding the T28.

The NOS dry to wet kit should run you 115$.

I am running 2 NOS powershot solenoids in series (for safeties sake) with a fan spray nozzle mounted about 4" in front of the TB. I have a WOT switch, master arming switch and a happy button.

I got the stuff used, it didn't come in kit form. When I squeeze on it, my A/F meter goes all the way lean.

I am planning on probably going to the 50 shot wet single fogger, and later go to a 100 shot direct port wet.

Can you run a 100 shot on pump gas with an octane booster, or do you need full on race fuel?

Yes you can use nitrous on pump gas(93 + only). With a 100 shot you'll want upgraded ignition(ie timing retard), fuel(injectors, pump) and some colder plugs. You should be good or you could also go the JWT setup as well

If your A/F goes WAY lean, you better make sure your pump is up to it or you'l be sorry, Esp with a dry kit

Wouldn't trust it. The ECU won't be able to compensate until at least ONE combustion has occured. Would already be too late by then :)

IIRC, on a NOS dry kit(5122 or 5123)fuel is enriched accordingly to the jet you have inside the TEE-fitting that splices into the vacuum lines on the intake manifold. I might be wrong, but there should be a .42 jet(fuel) in there for a 50shot. This T-fitting with the jet inside is ran downstream from the regulator that is sandwiched between your 2 solenoids. You should have a blue cylinder-like regulator mounted between your 2 solenoids. If you DON'T, I have no idea how else it would raise fuel pressure.
