Ok so it took off the coolant line from my turbo and found that the bolt has some sort of rubber through the hole in it. Is this rubber supposed to be there? Just dont want to put everything back together and have this be the reason my engine goes.

no that is not supposed to be there. clear that out. Was that coolant bolt in the turbo? Check your whole system to make sure nothing is clogged.

It is the one that goes into the block to the turbo. The motor is from tiger japanese it has less than 35k miles on it. If that is not suppposed to be there how would rubber have built up in the bolt and only the bolt? It is not in any other lines or ant where else just there. I just dont want to screw anything up. Any help is appreciated.

That is very bad, it should not be there at all. It does look like RTV. Clean it out, has the motor been run in this condition?

Pull *** turbo and check for overheating... how you check for overheating i have no idea, but I would begin with looking for chewed up blades or cracked housing...

NO!!! The motor has NOT been run!!! Ijust got done with putting the motor in the car. and now have started putting things back together. There are no cracks in the housing bent fins nothing like that. it was just in the bolt in the coolant line to the turbo the bolt on the turbo didnt have any in it. Im just wondering how or why it was put in there.

What is this RTV grey?

It is the silicon RTV used for gaskets and seals on things like the water pump. It looks like someone replaced something in your cooling system and used Gray RTV to seal it up and used too much, allowing it to bubble out around the edge when the part was bolted down. It looks like the Excess RTV pieces came off in your cooling system and got stuck in that Banjo fitting.

That's exactly what I was thinking...

If you aren't going to take it off and have someone who is very turbo knowledgable look at it... I would take those things out, and flush your coolant system a couple times before driving it around... Every time you flush I would check that bolt again and clear out any debries.

I cannot send the motor back it has been over 30 days. But I think i will just flush the coolant system a bunch of times and see how much RTV comes out if any. Other than that i dont know what to do. What would you guys say?

is the motor is out then remove the water neck and clean it...if the rtv is dry then it will be tough to get to some spots..their might also be a nice build up at the wp

Its in the car! Im going to flush the coolant system and see what comes of it. If a bunch comes out then Im just going to take the motor out and clean everything out. But If i find no trace of any more RTV Im going start her up and see what happens. For Now Im going to email tigerjapanese to see what they will do about it.

try to spin the water pump by hand... is it easy or does it feel kinda crunchy?

watch your water temp needle if the wp is clogged up the needle will go up too. if it is in the turbo water jacket there is still oil cooling the turbo imo but your turbo wasn't designed to be oil cooled so you could have coked bearings. synthetic oil is your friend now good luck

took a look tonight and there are no other traces of the rtv in the coolant lines or anywhere else. So i think i will just flush the coolant system and see what happens.
