just got done changing the oil pan on my 92 NX2000....not bad just hate the silcone...use to V8s *normal seals* ;) so letting it cure 24hrs then putting 10w-30 in and see if she leaks... looks good execept one spot..... also just got some dunlop 195/60 R14 tires for $230.00 for all 4 so not bad... Then remember this is just my commuter car :)

Those "normal seals" will eventually leak.
Nissan uses silicone, because it will last far longer than conventional rubber, paper or cork seals.

BTW, most Nissan parts dealers carry the 3M brand of silicone that is exactly what the factory uses, plus is o2 sesnsor safe.

Good idea! You don't want any of the silicone breaking loose and clogging an oil passage.

10w-30 in and see if she leaks...
BTW, 5W30 is the PREFERRED (there's a Nissan Tech Bulletin out that says so)oil viscosity.

put the 10w-30 in no problems ie...NO LEAKS....

I will put 5w30 in next time might just run it a few miles and change it.....thanx for the input ;)

and I did get the nissan dealer silcone ;)
