TunerProRT is currently my ROM editor of choice when using a Realtime ECU. Besides being a pretty decent editor, its fully compatible with the Realtime ECU. It does not support the Consult datalink however, so you still need separate Consult software for map tracing, datalogging, and other diagnostic stuff (see Nissan DataScan and similar).

TunerProRT was written by Mark Mansur, and can be downloaded from his website here (look in the downloads section). There is a $30 registration fee, but the software still functions without it you just get a nag screen on start-up. Cough up the fee sometime, its cool software.

You also need an XDF file (this is similar to an ADR file for Rom Editor). TunerPro is a bit different from Rom Editor in that you need to edit the XDF file in TunerPro, its not just a simple text file. On the flip side, its much more powerful in how it displays the various maps. Once you've downloaded it just pointTunerProRT at it (XDF->Select XDF). My current XDFs can be downloaded here:

Right click the link and save as!

You can change the way how TunerProRT looks, and I suggest doing so. Anything marked 'ALDL' does not apply to this application, thats for GM stuff so make all that go away. Under View->Toolbars you can turn off the various tool bars. I've got Basic, Tools, XDF Editor, RT, and Emulation turned on. This is how mine looks:

Also, I change the default preferences so TunerProRT remembers and reloads the last used XDF file, but does not reload the last used bin file. This is under Tools->Preferences...

Ok, so lets take a quick look at the Tool Bars real quick:

The file stuff on the left opens/closes bins, the next file stuff does the same for XDF files. Straightforward. The next tool bar is used for editing the XDF file. Next over is quick utility stuff (hex editor, calculator, etc).

TBC tomorrow.

I have been playing with it, but I don't know what I am seeing when I play with it? The 3d graph is interesting, but why is it high and red at idle?

Its on the list. I've got an upgrade to the B13/S13 xdf in the works.

Ohhhh Thanks! Does the B13 XDF work for a GTi-R ECU?

Don't use the adr file, thats for the old Rom Editor. Unzip the zip and use the xdf. You have to use the B14 xdf to edit B14 bins. B14 bins and B13 bins are different, you can edit one with the other.

Ok, I am a little confused.

The b13rt is just a normal tune, like I could upload that to my rt ecu and plug it into my stock b13?
