Why is it so hard for some to use proper spelling and punctuation when composing a post? Is it laziness or just plain stupidity? Half the posts these days are near impossible to read without having to go over it 2 or 3 times.

I can tell you that I often type very fast and don't proof read my stuff. I know that others I correspond with thru e-mail do the same. I think it just gets to be a bad habit. I know I am not the worst offender. Some of the bad ones I just ignore. It's not worth reading if it is that poorly written. My .02 cents.

So that we can put down other people to feel better about ourselves.

I type fast and don't often proof read before I hit the send button but when someone posts without capatilizing the first word or fails to put periods at the end of sentences it's annoying. Like you said, more often than not it won't get read.

I can understand it if English isn't your primary language. I know we have a good deal of Asians on these lists. But if English is your first language you should write as if you graduated 3rd grade and know something about it.

I just ignore the posts with no punctuation.

Spelling doesn't really bother me. Hardly anyone can spell these days anyway.

honestly I am pretty tolerable, but if it is balligerant and unreadable crap, I won't even bother. I just don't get how some people sound so uneducated.

Jim, why don't you post the user names of the people who you are talking about? I mean if you are going to bitch about it, then show some balls and call these people out.

Otherwise shut up you condesending jerk.

If Jim's the prick for faulting unreadable posts, then this group is one big lot of cretins.

There is nothing superior about using punctuation and making complete thoughts, and it's hardly arrogant to demand the same of everyone else. In fact, I'd say it's the total opposite. If you're too lazy to type out coherent posts, you're making us work doubly hard to understand you.

Are you too good to take the extra moment to think about readability? If you make lazy shite posts, you're going to get dumb shite responses.

If you're old enough to drive a car and talk about it in a car forum, you at least have a ninth or tenth grade education. You know how to make a complete sentence by now. If you're not a native speaker or have a disability, no one is going to hold that against you. The rest of you have no excuse.

This is a text-based forum of discussion, so you're going to have to figure out how to use text.

I won't post names because it's not necessary. Those who post crap to this list know who they are and should only expect crap in return. Garbage in, garbage out.

The correct way to spell it is condescending. Now who's the jerk?
