How man grille's (aftermarket or otherwise) are there currently out for our car. I have the stock grille and I saw some people who look like they just have mesh on theirs. So, how many different styles are there, and can you furnish this post with pictures of them? Thanks!

I know of the stillen one. What is the home depot grille? What is the one with just grille mesh?

they are talking about the 1998 sentra se grill. you'd wanna take out the plastic black honeycomb cover and get some chicken wire from home depot.

I made a grille myself out of simple hardware mesh using the old grille frame as a template. I just sawed out the old guts and popped in the new cutout with a little finesse and some fine tuning. Then I just mounted it with screws and put on the SE-R emblem. You can see it in the pic in my signature or better at the following link:http://thephunhouse.homestead.com/files/P1010002.JPG

Yes that is what I was thinking of doing. But what I want to know is...is the 98 grille just pull out? Or do you have to cut out the "guts" like aaron did?

With the '98 sentra grill you don't have to do any cutting, you just take out the honeycomb mesh and change it to your own custom one. I didn't know this before I bought one to do that, so I had to go through the hard work of cutting them out, sanding, using bondo and painting... which I was doing slowly, but then when my stock grill fell out and got ran over :( (the body shop didn't properly put it back in with zip ties since I have projectors) I accelerated the process of making my grille and it looks bad.. well from close you can see how bad it is, from far it's ok. That's why I'm going to get a '98 sentra grille and take my time cutting out the mesh with some help of somebody that did it already.

P.S. to make the custom grill, you can make a template out of cardboard, then use the cardboard to cut the grill... it's much easier to make sure the template is good with cardboard than with the metal grill.. I know, and ends of the metal grill can scratch up your stock one (like mine did)

Justin, how much does mike want for the grille? and how long will it take him to make one. I want one too.

He quoted me $75 shipped. He also said that once he gets the money, it will take 2-3 weeks to make it. I need to email him to see if he can paint it my stock color :D!!! I don't feel like taking it to the shop just for the grille! Also, I wanted him to paint it before he puts the mesh in there. Tell him I referred you lol. I have already gotten one of my other se-r friends to buy one....maybe he'll finally give me the discount I've been begging for! "Come on man, I got you a customer...hook me up!! "NO." lol. Looks phat if you ask me, would go awesome with the skyline kit, all that mesh in the front!! Of course..it looks better with the GTR bumper....:D
