I'm thinking of burning a vacation day, so I might be there. What's VMP's rule on helmets? I don't have one; so if I need one, I'll probably have to pass. And how much is it to run?

The rule is faster then 14.0 or 13.99 and you need a helmet. Something like that.

I don't think I'll need a helmet, then. I wish! Sounds good. I'll let you know by Tuesday. By the way, is anybody going to make to Eastside Speedway on the 9th? I posted a while back about the show and drags. It's going to be all mini-trucks and compacts, so we should get plenty of runs. It is only an 1/8 mile track, but it's fun.

its a decent track. ive been 3 times and averaged about 7 runs per trip. the cost is $15 to race, $9 to watch. Unfortunately i may not be going as work just offered me time and a half to work a 12 hour day on friday and thats really hard to turn down. I dont think i can make it to that Eastside Speedway either, i always work sundays. thanks for the heads-up though.

nathan, money is the root of all evil. ;)

that's cool, you gotta get while the gettin' is good. i'm sure we'll have a chance to run against each other some time this summer!

Ralph, turns out the THSCC auto-x is the 15-16th. However, I'm getting paid to paint a friends house, so I'll likely be doing that all day Friday. You guys have fun. I am considering going to Danville for the Triad autocross on sunday, however.

OK. Put in today to be off Friday. I'll be there. Who else for sure? I'd like to be able to put faces to at least a couple names. Besides, maybe I can get some opinions as to why my car seems slower than it should be.

well, i think i have reached a comprimise. Im gonna work from 8-4 and then try to head out to the track. I know my times will suck since last couple times i ran it was about 50degrees out and its supposed to be 90 on friday... but it sounds like a good turn out so its worth going. I just may not arrive till 630 or so. By the way, if you can get there by 530 its worth it... if you are through tech when the lanes open you can just keep running for a half hour or so. last time i got 3 runs in the first half hour.

nathan

ps. i have a grey classic with the ulglies roof paint you have ever seen.

I hear you Matt. Glad to hear you found some work, even if it is for just a day or two. No worries man, we will hook up again and blast down the strip. Hey I still have to beat you, right??;)

If you are painting the outside and its raining here still on Friday, maybe you still could go. Weather man called for rain on Thursday.

Just a thought.

I hate my job!!! I got turned down for my vacation days. Right now we've got 4 & 1/2 mechanics to cover 2nd shift. We're supposed to have 10. The only person who really knows my area is me, and the guy on 1st who could stay to cover is already promised off this weekend. Is anything going on next weekend, or will I have to get sick? ;) If nothing's on for next weekend, maybe I can get just Friday, or meet up next time. BTW, is anyone going to the big IDRC event the 21st and 22nd? I might aim for that instead. Sorry guys.....

The rain is supposed to be outta here in the morning (Friday). Looks like the afternoon/evening is going to be PERFECT for you guys: lower temps and lower humidity!

Ralph, that's 14 second weather for you!!!!
