I took it pass 7500 rpm with the stock ecu & there was no problem. (It was either pass 7500 or crash with semi)

The tach. may be a lil off. thats common. It will not hurt your car at all. Just do as Rollcage says and stomp on it till you hit it then you will know where it is.

The rev limiter should hit around 8000 RPMs, or at least that's where it hits in my car. Keep in mind that there is nothing to stop you from over reving on a downshift.

My rev limiter kicks in at an exact 7500rpm. I think your tach may be off.

That is not a bad thing. That is a good thing. You need to have that rev limiter. It will save your ass if you mess up.

don't run it passed 8000, I before my swap I was wondering the same thing, my engine reved all the way to 8200-8500 sounded like the thing was going to come apart, I think the older (91) ones didn't have one, or mine didn't.

I've said this before, but just for those who might have missed it.
A number of stealer mechanics (Real ones, not monkeys) have told me that the OE tach can be off as much as +-10%!
Keep that in mind.

yes its a good thing to have, but when you dont expect it, it scares the shit out of you

i hit the rev limiter once and wasn't expecting it. and it does sc are the shit out of you. all i know i was doing bout 155 km/h in third. didnt look at the revs.
