: FWD 500WHP SR20's
Big Boost 05-31-2002, 09:35 AM Has anyone noticed how quietly a bunch of 500WHP SR20's are in or will be in existence? Here's my list.
1) Andreas Miko's Platinum 200SX (ran a 9.5) quickest FWD SR20 (sent to Puerto Rico)
2) Jamie Farrer's Classic
3) Ben Benevides' 200SX (sold)
4) Seriously Boosted's 200SX
5) Shaggy's 200SX
6) Louis Anaya's Classic
7) AEBS's Classic
8) Mike Kojima's Classic
9) My Classic
Who am I missing? Five of the nine are considered street cars. Kristian Ichazo's SE-R wasn't included because I think it's totally dismantled.
Anyone else planning on joining this list?

I think that is it for now! Some lucky person will be able to move my name off the list and add their own for ~ $15,000.00 or best offer! :D
PSSSHHHGOESMYSR20 05-31-2002, 10:19 AM Na I think I will be happy with the 350-400 hp. 500 HP on a fwd street car IMHO is a waste of time. Better spent on a RWD Sr20 S13 ;) again IMHO
Anyone else planning on joining this list?
SERprise In WV 05-31-2002, 10:31 AM Rob--
Mike K. mentioned two weeks ago that his Classic is 305whp, IIRC. Nothing to sneeze at, for sure. And, knowing his abilities, he could whip it up to 500whp in, oh, about 2 days if he really wanted to. :D
Also....didn't Jamie Farrer go 9.39 @139mph in his Classic? If so, that bumps him up ahead of Andreas. For now. ;)
Just a couple observations. Correct me if they're wrong.
Da91NX 05-31-2002, 02:19 PM Must be nice to have a street driven car that runs 11's to 10's. Damn i wish i lved near some of those cars.
ktrends 05-31-2002, 02:57 PM I hope to break the 11 second barrier soon. But not sure if I will ever be joning the 500whp club. With 500whp in a classic the thing would HAVE to run 9's
nasr20de 05-31-2002, 04:38 PM 500hp is nice but whats the tranny diet for these beasts 1-2 trannys a week? it would be nice but id live with a 13sec na car
NX$paniard 05-31-2002, 05:10 PM I think I too will settle for the 400+ bracket.. unless somehow it just miraculously produces 500hp, hey it could happen!:)
jbanach77 05-31-2002, 05:22 PM i made 424whp before i built the motor. now that i got my turbo and manifold from sleeper motorsport, aeromotive fuel pump and filter, larger in jectors, jun 280 cams and jun complete head package, and new tech 3 software to match everything i already have, 500+ should be no problem.

Greg,
Not unless Jamie hasn't updated his website- 9.83@145. Wow, I didn't know Andreas was mid-9s, Damnnnn:eek:
I too am shooting for 350-400whp in a couple of months
;)
Chris
sleeping 91ser 05-31-2002, 08:13 PM damn, I didn't know that Andreas was that far into the 9's either, good job fellas and keep up the good work. Represent the community.

Andreas Miko 05-31-2002, 08:57 PM Well the silver 200sx is the only 9 sec car with turbo only. All the other cars that have run 9 sec have done it with NOS. Jamie did his 9.83 at 145 MPH with 120-140 shot of NOS. I can say if we were to put NOS on the car it would run high 8s.
Also, because I do not hide anything from anyone I will say that the motor size is now 2.185. You can now call it a 2.2. This motor size is done by sleeving the motor and instaling 90 mm pistons. Compression is 8 to 1. We are still running the stock SR20DE intake manifold. The Turbo is a Greddy T78. The first motor which was a 2.0 made 524 WHP at about 25 PSI of boost. I will say that the 2.2 motor made 525 WHP at 20 PSI so you can make your calculations of what it makes at 25 PSI. When at the track the car get 20-28 PSI depending upon conditions. We will be putting a ROB WILLIAMS AKA "BIGBOOST" intake on the car soon so just imagine what will happen. My thoughs is that we will make about 575 WHP at 20 PSI of boost. After that the next plan is to put a T88 on the motor and make a new Turbo manifold with larger pipe.
I am not to much involved with the car right now because I am working on 2 Pulsar GTIRs with a new turbo that I have tested on a SE-R that has now run 11.9 at 122 MPH at 17 PSI of boost and it bolt right on to the GTIR manifold. The goal is to build a mid to low 11 sec Pulsar GTIR that is completely streetable. The motors will have JWT cams and June valvesprings in them, otherwise the motor will be all stock Nissan. There will be external mod like turbo and extudehone turbo manifold, larger inj and MAF, well you know the drill. I think because of the quicker gears and AWD this goal will be easy to reach.
SE-Rican 05-31-2002, 09:08 PM Way to represent Dre, and mad props to all the other SR20 tuners.
DubuRX 05-31-2002, 10:31 PM 350-400 hp sounds good enough for me... at least until I get beat... we'll see!

My mistake. I had *heard* of that lower ET, but hadn't verified it. I'll shut up, now. ;)

I believe Jamie's 9.39 was toward the end of last year at Englishtown. For his website, the last time I saw it was updated was a year ago. Lastly I haven seen him @ any events this year.

Greg, to me any "9-sec" FWD is extremely impressive, even more so just a turbo only!
Andreas, You guys were able to get a AWD GTI-R to be street-legal? or for racing purposes only?
Chris
Andreas Miko 05-31-2002, 11:37 PM These GTIRs that I am talking about are in the Bahamas. There are some street legal GTIRs here in Miami, I have seen 2 whites 1 black and 1 grey. If you want to get a left hand drive GTIR you can find them in Spain like that. Getting thesae cars legalized is no problem I have the conections.
Da91NX 05-31-2002, 11:42 PM Are you serious?!!?!!?
ShawnSE-R 06-01-2002, 04:18 AM So how much after all the hopes are jumped through to get one of these on the streets???
