The GSR's or mdm SE-R's have the door mounted seat belts.
The base model sold as Tsuru GS with a E16 redtop engine until 97 had the pillar mounted ones.

Huh thats interesting, thanks for the info. Was the GSR made in the US?

Has anyone down there converted their GSRs to use GS belts?

The GSR is the same as the US B13 SE-R, and it was totally made in Mexico.

As far as I know, nobody has converted the seat belts to the GS version for on reason, being a very basic model, the GS trim seatbelts were not retractable.
But if you want standard pillar mounted seatbelts, I can get used sets for around 80 dollars, including all hardware.

Wow I've never heard of non retractable seat belts before, do you happen to have any pics?

The reason I was asking about the Tsuru seat belts is that I'm working on converting mine to b-pillar mount. The bolt holes are already there for the top mount and the bottom mount. I'm trying to figure out how Nissan mounted the retractor/reel assembly though.

Here is a pic of my old B12, it has non-retractable seat belts. Its the best pic where you can see the seat belt. It was a very basic bealt, and a pain in the ... everytime for de copilot.
But it did what was supposed to do, it saved my life that day.

Now im very happy with the retractable seat belts of my 200SX.

Huh thats interesting. It looks like the length was adjusted there on the b pillar below the upper mount?

Yeah you are right. THe thing is.. when a diferent size person use the seatbelt, take a long to adjust de length.
