: Tsuru Headlight Beam Pattern
b13pnoysentra 04-05-2007, 12:59 AM 99se-lr tells me the beam patterns suck on the depo tsuru headlights. If I buy them, he tells me i'll regret and he'll say "I told you so". I have some silvania silverstars from my stock headlights. Can I just use those instead if I'm worried about blinding other drivers?
I really want to have the HIDs though...
redb13se-r 04-05-2007, 01:12 AM dont put HIDs in unless you plan on retrofitting some projectors in. TSX ones work nice, but i have yet to see this on a b13.
b13pnoysentra 04-05-2007, 01:22 AM Okay no HIDs then. Will my silvania silverstar bulbs hook up to the tsurus?
SE-Riouse_93 04-05-2007, 01:53 AM yes they will 9003 bulb
nismo_star 04-05-2007, 07:00 AM non oem tsuru's are bad...esp w/ HIDs. I hacked mine up and doing E55 bixenon on one like I did on my Maxima.
I would say get OEMs if you want HIDs.
rodrigo 04-05-2007, 07:05 AM u can do HIDs on any head light. look at it this way if your blinding them they will move out the way:D

b13pnoysentra 04-05-2007, 12:37 PM haha thanks guys
StevenLK 04-05-2007, 02:34 PM actually, i have the depo tsuru's and my beam pattern isnt blinding to on comming traffic like my friends rides which hav hids. mine hits the ground and glows' there's just has major glare ... people say it looks like the new cars that come w/ hids. as in they arent noticably bright, and blinding, which i think is a good thing.

U must be talking about yourself .:squint: it was a joke . I guess up there in amish country they dont joke huh...
anyway If you modify a projector in there with the Hids u wont have a problem.
RBI*04 04-05-2007, 06:51 PM i can agree with the -aftermarket tsurus+HIDs- statement.
the aftermarket tsurus in general are bad, they go VERY cross eyed (left light lights up the right side of the road and vice versa) and they aim VERY high, even with the back adjusters maxed out. the HIDs just make it sooooo much worse. i guess you could get them aimed good (AM tsuru+HID) if you sat and tinkered with it. its DEFINATELY not a plug and play application.
Projectb13 04-06-2007, 02:59 PM i just installed an after market HID kit in my Tsuru Headlights AND My OEM Foglights
Both look fine... beam pattern isnt all over the place, very bright... looks great.
fog lights came out just as good equally pointed at the floor...
HIDs are bright lights... if you dont wanna blind ppl done buy them...
99sel-r 04-06-2007, 03:02 PM cool

Prove it. Take a picture at night of the beam pattern against a wall, I guarantee they look like shit with nasty hotspots and a pathetic cutoff.

OEM and properly retrofitted hid headlights don't blind other drivers. Ignorant people putting ghetto plug and play kits into non-hid housing do...
SE-Rious Dino 04-06-2007, 06:08 PM theyre the same, the OEM just say Hella on them and dont have the glare gaurd. this is coming from someone who owns the OEM set too.
SE-Riouse_93 04-07-2007, 01:04 AM yea i wondering that too, the oem's dont have the glare guard (the little cup in front of the bulb). and my non oem do?
GSRMx 04-07-2007, 01:06 AM Ask for a 2001-2002 Tsuru headlamp, those are the ones that come with the glareguard.

Very cool product. That should help out and stop all that upper glare. I didn't even know they made a product like that. Nice find:biggthump
