holy hybrid batman!
its a BMW E36 318i with a Nissan Silvia S14 SR20-DET engine and GReddy TD06-20G turbo, KAAZ PowerPot LSD, OS-Giken twin-plate clutch...he just got his Link ECU installed, and they were doing light tuning at 14psi. crazy! :D

This might be a bit old, or at least it's not the first BMW with a SR20DET that I see... it's still cool though :)

That burled walnut trim certainly adds to the all-race attitude of the car. Perhaps he is going for the true sleeper look?

J/K, it's nice. It's cool when even BMW guys have to admit that Nissan makes the best engines.

for the amount of money he spent on that, he really should've just swapped an m3 engine in. then it would've been real beast.

Would you believe I just talked to my BMW buddy about the exact same thing!!

For $15 grand:
Buy an old (1985ish) 318
3.2L M3 engine and trans
All the suspension goodies
Big brakes
Power upgrades to make ~290 hp.

2500lbs, 290 hp. Almost Z06 power to weight.

My friend Terry Bakker (used to run the Cannonball Run...the REAL one in the 70s) has one in Virginia. He kicked the ever living shit out of everything in SM at the Ft. Myers national tour.

I think that thing at 15 pounds of boost will blow the doors off a 290hp M3 engine. It will be nice to know how it really runs. To bad the wheel is on the wrong side. I would send it back and get it fixed:rolleyes: .
