hi
last night i picked up a set of OEM B14 wheels from a member in Corpus Christi. i was planning to ride on the OEM wheels and put race rubber on my aftermarket wheel. upon close inspection, one of my wheel's spoke cracked.
i noticed that crack 1 week ago when i was swapping rims off my other car. at first i thought it was just paint that's cracking. today i can see the crack on the back side of the wheel also and i can see movement of the spoke.
my wheel is a PowerRacing VS04. it has 6 spokes and the crack spoke cracked near the outside of the rim.
the weird thing is, i don't remember hitting anything hard enough to do that kind of damage. the wheel is perfectly round, i've taken the car up to 90-95 and no vibration at all. no paint is chipped near the crack on the rim.
anyone has this problem? i don't see how my spoke cracked (possibly under stress) without bending the wheel first.
thanks
