The reason i ask is because i got four of the exact same tires? When you mount them on rims and put them on the car, one side it looks like it would direct the water out. The other side looks like it would direct the water in? Am i wrong here? never ordered a set of these before

they are directional. look carfully at the side and ther should be and arrow or something, every dir. tire i have ever seen has one.

there are no arrows, it simply says outside on the outside of the tire or inside for the inside of the tire. so there is no wrong way you can possibly mount it, its either outside or inside. but when you look at the lines, there different on both sides of the car

They are directional, and like post #3 says, there is writing that says "inside" and "outside".

And yeah, the arcs of the rain lines will look weird, but thats the way it's supposed to be. Sorta annoyed the crap out of me at first, but now I'm over it. :biggthump

They are not directional, otherwise you couldnt swap from one side to another. As has been said, you just have to mount the side that says "inside" on the inside, and the side that says "outside" on the outside.

Exactly.

When a tire is directional, it is only because the radial belt/tread is built one way. If you were to take a directional tire from the left side, and mount it on the right, the tread would seperate. When you rotate directional tires, you can only go from front to back, on the same side, not rear left to front right, etc.

I don't think many tires are made directional, any longer.

lol youre thinking about this too hard

just mount outside outside and inside inside and put them on your car and drive it.

i have 2 sets of snow tires they are directional and they both have arrows so you know they are directional. i have azenis too they have no arrows azenis aren't supposed to be that good in the rain anyway ;)

Exactly, Azenis, IIRC, aren't all season tires. This is exactly why people take them off and go to something else for the fall/winter months.

If I were you, and I were worried about rain/etc, then I would look for another set of tires.

Actually, they are quite sticky in the wet.

Standing water is where they're not good.

Oh, and they are non-directional. Just mount the outside out.

They grip like hell in a northern downpour (which is nothing like Florida downpours).

+1 for that. my old azenis sports were great on wet roads, but hydroplaned every single time.

You *can* mount them on the other way as well.. I have done it numerous times.

But the big tread blocks are designed to be on the outside normally as that is where you need grip the most.

People always make the mistake of thinking that Azenis will be good for the drag strip. I have no Idea why. Azenis are indeed some of the stickiest street tires you can buy. But they were made for twistys. Not strait line acceleration. If you go to the strip with Azenis youll probably be putting down the same times as you would with some regular tires.

Anybody here making some real power will tell you that Azenis are a joke in a strait line. If you want strait line grip go get some BFG Drag Radials.

Couldnt have said it better.Im running 615's on the street, but they suck balls on the drag strip(spins til 3rd).Like wang said go BFG Drag.Or M/T ET streets.

its called asymmetrical.. trust me i work for americas tire co.. i mount tires like this all day

like everyone else is telling you, mount outside out and ur fine, the designers obviously had a reason for making the tire the way they are.
