So i slowly make my turbo car worthy of daily driving, I come across a cut factory radio harness:confused: ..so im just trying to figure out whats the color code on the factory harness so i can match it up to my kenwood

Mine was hacked apart too.. I just ended up running new, higher guage wire to all my speakers.

Does anyone know which wire is responsible for illumination control?

i know red power, black ground, yellow is illumination/brain as i like to call it. the rest for speakers i have no clue.

Yup yello iw illumination from the headunit but where does that connect to inorder to modulate brightness? I've tried both wires off of the dimmer switch with no success. I'm thinking I might try the HVAC bulb since its brightness is controlled by the dimmer switch. However I'm unsure of which wire to take power from.

I have never been able to get that dimmer/brightness mess to work properly. Unless you want that feature, it's not required to get a deck working.

yeah my headunit is really bright so I'd like the dimmer option.
