I have a 97 B14 SER, lowport. I was just curious where the starter is on our cars and how easy it is to change out?
Any input is appreciated, I need to do this or get it done soon.
Thanks

take out the 2 bolts over the tranny first, from the driver's side of the engine bay.
yes its easy.
WHERE it is under the engine, i never knew.

Anyone have any pics of where it is or the general area of it.
Slide under the car, and look straight up between the engine and firewall. The starter is the big cylinder tucked under the intake manifold. It mounts towards the driver's side.
You probably can't see the two long bolts that hold it in place because of the wiring harness and other junk in the engine bay.

I just replaced my starter a week ago. I found some pictures on this forum in about 5 minutes... by using the search function, oddly enough.
It's amazing, the wealth of information already on this forum.
