Right now, Stock turbo w/ full exhaust upgrades except for the rear cans. (I like it quiet :D) Perrin TMIC. EM to run everything of course.

Aquamist WI is waiting in the garage to be installed and tuned, and this summer I will be switching over to a relatively large twin-scroll turbo and fuel upgrades. At sea-level, by set-up would be right at 400whp. Up here, more like 330-340 whp and 340 wtq...

Shouldn't the turbo correct for altitude difference? I thought oxygen content percentage was the same from sea level to whatever, it's just that the air is physically thinner so NA motors suck in less oxygen.

Turbos can correct until the turbo is outside it's ability...

I hit 19psi at sea level currently. Because that is pushing the limits of this compressor, at altitude (7000 ft) I loose roughly 3 or so psi so that I am only hitting 16 psi. The turbo is till raising the pressure by the same ratio, but it can't push anymore air due to the already maxed out settings...

That makes sense.

Got a question just to make sure I understand. If your car was set to make 15 psi at sea level, and then was taken to 7000 ft above sea level and it was set to 15 psi, assuming the temperature was the same at both altitudes, wouldn't you make the same power?

Once the turbo kicked in, yes, if it made basically, 15 psi, plus the 3 to make up the drop in atmospheric pressure (So the turbo is pushing 18psi)

Under the boost threshold though you would make 23% less power :(
