I am looking for the Nu-Tech rear sway bar even though it is now made by Progress, i think. I would like some adjustability instead of going with the ST or Addco one. Thanks.

Well, i found them for $209 at PTuning.com. I didn't know they made a front adjustable too. Anyone know of anywhere cheaper.

That's a pretty good price for an adjustable bar.

I paid $230 for a adjustable Stillen bar for the back of a B14. Everyone says there stuff is high priced. I guess that is what you pay for an adjustable bar. I think it was worth every penny.

This is the first picture I have ever posted. I feel like I am crashing a b13 party but oh well.

Thanks. I am glad you can see the picture. It has been a 6-month odyssey to get a picture on the forum. How do you get your picture in the bottom of every post? Do you manually put it in every time you post, or can you make it automatic. TIA.

It is in my signature, so it automatically appears at the end of each post. I think the code is :

I saw that bar on Ptuning a while back. I thought it was way too high, though. How much better is an adjustable bar? How hard is it to adjust? Thanks.

It's just one more thing to play with. You can generally get the car to turn better the stiffer you make it. It probably has 2 adjustments and if its like the nutech it will have real nice end links like heim joints. I think I'm going to order one. I'll let you know how it turns out. To adjust its just a matter of loosening and moving a bolt.

I was looking at the Addco, but i think i'll just save up for this one. It would be cool if someone would try to get a group buy started.

Yeah, I thought the Addco was supposed to be cheaper, but the only plce I can find it is Summit and it's $144. It's kinda hard to find the rear ST bar without buying both bars, but Courtesy can get it (the guy told me it was $160!!!).

I looked at the Progress website, and the B13 adjustable swaybars are 30mm front and 20.5mm rear. The stock diameters per the '92 FSM are 28mm front and 15mm rear. Personally, I'd skip the front bar.

Retail for the Progress bar is about $280 each. Ptuning.com wants $210. Anyone else a Progress vendor?

For reference, what's the bar diameter on the B13 Suspension Techniques, Addco, and N-tech rear swaybars?

Found it myself.

The Addco and ST rear bars are both 3/4", which works out to just about 19mm.

If the $150 Addco has better endlinks than the $120 ST, that seems like the one I'd get. Someone (Grover, Pat, George...?) mentioned that the N-Tech on its middle setting felt a lot like the ST piece. 19mm sounds like a safe bet.

Still, I'm no suspension engineer, and I'm curious as to how adjustable tension affects handling along with bar thickness. The Progress is adjustable and 1.5mm fatter. Is the extra $60 worth it for, say, an autocrosser running STS?

The adjustable end links are used to set the bar to zero tension when the car is on a perfectly flat surface. This helps the handling be consistent from one direction to the next. The Progress bar (if it is the same as the n-tech) will be stiffer then its thickness suggest because the hemi joints are solid and cause the bar to work on every small turn. Also, the adjustability will allow you decide how much oversteer/understeer you want. For a purely street/non-competition car all this is probably overkill. IMHO, if you like to tinker and want adjustability for competition I think this is the only way to go. Also, if you have the stock front bar you should spring for the urethane sway bar links and bushings up front.

I would think the adjustablility would be killer for auto-x (that's why I want it), but most people will probably just set it to the stiffest setting anyway. If the end links are as good as addco's, the extra 1.5mm should be a lot stiffer, i would think. I just know I want it, and I'm gonna get it in a few weeks :D. It should be at least as good as the Addco or ST, IMO.
