Ok so I saw the guy selling the JWT NOS kit and I'm curious. Is it possible to take and make the JWT dry setup wet? I imagine it would be but I'm unsure TIA.

Nope, both JWT kits (50 and 100shot) are dry. The beauty of the JWT kit is that the ECU adds fuel through the injectors, just like God intended.

Wet kits do work on SR20s, but up to a point - like a 50 shot or so. Our manifolds weren't designed to flow "wet" particles.

I have heard, however, of someone using the JWT kit and setting it up direct-port style. Tapping each intake runner so the same amount of N2O enters each cylinder. I believe this person was on the forums, you might want to do a search.

Good luck!

Ok, sorry I worded that wrong. I want to know if it is possible to run a JWT direct ported. I know Thomas had said something about it but I don't know that he ever used it.

Not many multi-point manifolds are ;)

I've seen PLENTY of people running 100+ shots w/ a wet single fogger.

Not totally true...

First off.. NOS old fogger nozzles are JUNK, period, end of story.

The Fogger and Fogger 2 don't atomize the fuel and nitrous well enough for some applacations. So you run into some minor fuel puddling problems. To solve this you run under 75hp and you move the nozzle 10-12 inches from the throttle body.

That's why NOS developed their dry nitrous systems in the first place instead of making a better nozzle.

There's nothing revolutionary about dry kits. In fact, all the dry kits on the market save for the Venom are copies of NOS' design from the mid 80's.

NX, The Nitrous Works and Top Gun have one thing in common, the man that designed the nozzle(s). Believe me those nozzle ATOMIZE the mixture like it should and don't cause puddling problems inside the intake manifold.

You won't have any disturbution problems with NX, The Nitrous Works or Top Gun nitrous kits. But the best kits on the market are Nitrous Express.

Now Frank, when you blew it up, how did it happen?

Lean? - Too much nitrous, not enough fuel (injectors too small, pump not big enough)

Or did you break a rod? - Too much nitrous or bad detonation

Or was it bad rings? - Overally rich condition, or bad detonation

90% of what happens with nitrous is user related, but I know you Frank I'm sure it wasn't a tuning error on your part I just want to know what happen to you car.

I had rod knock, but was still driving the car. The oil level NEVER went down, I checked it religiously. But it developed rod knock, probably from the rod bearings taking a beating from the 100 shot. What finally killed her was a 3 mile race down the 118 vs. a girl in a hopped up Integra. I kept squeezing, on and off, on and off playing with her. Just getting in to Simi Valley, it finally let go with a BAM! Rod shot threw the block, and that was the end of that motor!

180k miles on her when she died, squeezed since 90k miles.

Not bad... yeah nitrous engine need to be freshened up from time to time. You got another 90K out of your engine and I know you beat on it regularly. Not bad man...

How's the turbo SE-R running? We need to hook up man, I haven't seen you in over a year!

What's up with your buddies 5.0L?

Turbo SE-R has a nasty exhaust leak, and feels like its running rough. Besides that it hauls ass, just like always.

Todd's 5.0 has been down for over a year. He is building some crazy 302 with expensive heads and whatnot.

Where do you hang out? Any good street racing scenes left in the valley? Any other car hangouts?

Not really, the LAPD has cracked down pretty hard on it lately. If you even go near Sizzler, there like parked across the street and wait until people with no plate, to low, loud exhaust, etc pull out of the lot and bust them, so I don't even bother.

But some people still go to El Torito and have a few drinks for those of age.

Outside of that, the usual bust out in Sylmar, but I heard that Laurel Canyon in Sun Valley was kinda okay. I went by there a couple of weeks back with some guys I know from Focaljet.com and it was okay save for the rain is pretty much ruined it. Cops came by but didn't really bother us while we were in the Arco station.

Anyway, Im glad California Speedway is open again. I'll be going out there more often, but I'll be going down to Carlsbad to break my nitrous kit in about a week or so. I really don't wanna use it without the bottle heater and all that stuff, but it's warm enough now in the daytime where I wouldn't use it very much anyway. So I might just install it and go.

You haven't seen the new R/T yet have you? www.geocities.com/dj4monie.

How you going to fix that exhaust leak?

Matt i am lost, i don't know what u trying to find out.

What u mean by JWT kit????

The 50shot and 100shot JWT ECU program are both dry Setup.

The only thing for 100shot JWT ECU program is that u have to get the 370cc injector inorder to use the 100shot program ECU. And the ECU will retard the timing when u hit the nitrous switch to the ON position and when u miss shift, the ECU will automaticlly shut off the nitrous so your won't blow your motor.

That's how the JWT support the fuel for 100shot w/ the 370cc. If u use wet setup on that, u it will run too rich.

Matt, if u want to go directport, u have to get a JWT 100shot ECU, 370cc injector, 3 Short line, 4 single fogger, 4 .25 or .26 jet, distrubution block, and some fitting.

You answered my questions Thomas, although the kit was sold a long time ago. There was a guy selling a JWT kit for a good price.
