Im looking for a muffler that will be quiet, yet free flowing.

The Apexi WS2 is great, but a bit over my budget (cheapest I could find was ~$200 shipped)

Ive heard Magnaflows Street are sorta loudish. (are they?)

I cant find JUST a HKS Sport Muffler anywhere.

Heres the vibrant Im looking at on ebay for a good price: $67

Or this one:

Anyone have any experience or opinions about these? Will they sound distinctly different?

Thanks a bunch!

Also, does anyone know how long the stock NX muffler is? would a 23" long muffler be too long to fit discreetly under an NX?

Thanks Guys!

I remember Jay Hassinger saying good things about them back in the day.

Great, I think I'll pull the trigger on it then.

On a similar note, does anyone one know if dual tip mufflers have a flow decrease over a single tip?

The single tip version has a 4"tip :eek2: which is kinda big, but I'm not sure if I like the dual tip style.

Anyone know if they sound different? Is one quieter?

Thanks Guys!

Honestly i would save for the WS2. The quality is the best for the price.

this is the muffler i bought. its $119, i figured its pretty much a greddy/WS2 minus the name brand. the quality is AMAZING it was built really really well. and because of the size of the thing i think it will sound really good and REALLY deep along with my 2.5inch VRS cat back with a 20inch magnaflo pre-muffler

they have alot of differant styles but i personally would only go with the large oval can style.

Hmm. With shipping 120 is still more than I would like to spend. Its not that I don't have the money, its just on a 15 year old car (that has some rust and what not) I don't want to spend over $200 if I don't have to you know? I will be getting a new car in a few years too.

Do you guys think the Vibrant will be quieter than a crappy canister style? The Vibrant is 5H x 9W x 23L and the Crappy Bomz Fart can that is on there is roughly 5R x 12-14L Thats a lot more volume.

Does that sound like a reasonable assumption?

Edit:
Bomz Volume: 350-420cu in.
Vibrant Volume: 950cu in

Man, now Im starting to believe you. Sigh... I cant decide what I want to do.

Classicaddict, have you installed the Aspec already? If so, is it quiet? You said it sounds good, but that doesn't always mean quiet.

Thanks.

Thats the idea Ive been getting masterpirate, I think I may end up going with it after all. Maybe Ill just weld it on myself to save some bucks.

Well, I did it, I ordered a new Apexi WS2. Took a few beers and a moment of weakmindedness to pull the trigger, but it is done.

Hello Ramen for the next two weeks.

my stock muffler took a sh*t so i just cut it off until my HKS system came. it actually sounds better than fart cans.

the N1 muffler is a good quality muffler, but i have only heard it on other cars. sounds amazing on a 240.

I was helping put a Vibrant header on a 3.5 Altima. It was pretty loud, might put a second resonator in (it also has Vibrant exhausts).

Nice looking stainless pieces, but this guy said that some US guys have had trouble with cops because they're too loud (Vibrant are made in Canada).
