Quick question:

Does anyone know if there is a difference at all between the coolant temp sensors (i.e. the one that feeds the ECU) with the red head and the one with the blue head?

Thanks!

Ah, good question I was just about to ask the same thing.

The red one comes on OBD1 cars 91-94 SE-Rs. The blue one comes OBD2 cars 95 and newer. They both work the same but the plug in part is diffrent. The newer blue one is just a revision and can be unpluged from the harness easier.

Ok, so they function exactly the same? Meaning there is no difference in the signal both sensors send to the ECU?

Thanks!

shouldn't be any problems. I just replaced mine and the dealer gave me the blue (said it was the right one) and I had the red in there. All is ok!
