Which is better? Andreas says 20v has superior design, so it must flows like Hondas or better. But is it better then N1 head?

I believe so. N1 head is partially shaved with a port & polish from factory. Do you have both?

even de flows better than b16, due to d head design

I sent a 20V head to SR20turbo freak and he was very much impressed with head.

The valve stem is 5.5mm but necks down to 4.5 mm in the port. The 20V head runs incanel valves which are super light.

From what Charles has seen he feel the 20V head is on par with flow as a K20 head.

K20 head 35mm valve with 6 mm valve stem

20V head 34.3mm valve with 5.5mm valve stem necked down to 4.5mm

This means the 20V head has the same or slightly larger flow threw the throat.

Andreas, Charles, what you think?

the 20V head kills the sr20ve head. in a lot of ways. Personally, a sr20ve/ N1 type head can never be like a 20v head. the 20v head ports are atleast 1/8" taller and wider, not sure how much exactly but the port also has a smoother taper. the divider wall is longer too.

i would put the stock 20v head in between a stock B18C5 ITR head and a K20a head.

What does a stock 20v head flow and a stock b18c5 and the k20a head.

Hmm.. Can we use the 20v head with conventional VE bottom?

But why SR16VE N1 is a 197hp stock and the SR20VE 20V just 204hp stock???
It's 1.6 vs 2.0L, 400cm3 difference!

the cams in the n1 are way better, and its higher compression too

Displacement dosn't have much to do with headflow...

The 20v head is wider too correct? Meaning it won't bolt onto a sr20ve bottom!

N1 head has more aggresive cams and makes power at higher rpm, not to mention the N1 has a much more aggresive ECU tune. The 20V ECU programming is far from impressive, it was designed for a linear torque output as the P12 is not exactly a 'race car' like the N1.

If you found a p12 20v head, it would prob still be bolted to the block, why would you want to put it on a p11 sr20ve bottom end with a 4 counterbalance crank?

Im gona find a 20v engine and bolt it in EVLNXR one day, put the turbo engine in the corner and tune up the 20v to take on the Honduh boys at the drag strip running the k20 engine.

Evil plans ahead.

As soon as the wife will let me spend the money.....

Read my first post. N1 - Aggressive cams(springs and retainers to handle revs), shaved head(Higher compression), and ported from factory. The motor also revs higher which creates greater peak horsepower. The N1 can be duplicated if your where to buy a regular VE head. The 20V as already stated cannot because it is competently different.

SR20Turbofreak, so the BEST head ever is 20V head, and I can bolt on it to my SR20DE/VE bottom, right?

^^^ You cant bolt it onto your de/ve I do not believe.
