: 2002 NISSAN MOTORSPORTS Catalog!
Subculture 06-06-2002, 04:00 PM I just picked up a copy of the 2002 Nissan Motorsports Catalog!http://www.plauder-smilies.com/happy/xyxthumbs.gif
The catalog has a new layout, sections are divided up into
Engines, Power Train, Brakes, Suspension, Body Parts, Accessories.
Looking at the SR20 section they have:
NISMO Engine Mounts
Polyurethan Engine Mounts
High Performance Camshafts - From the description, these sound like the JWT S3 cams.
Nismo Rocker Arm Stopper - I want those.
In the Exhaust section they have:
Performance Headers- Which from the desription sound a lot like the HotShot Gen5 header.
In the Radiator section, they are now offering the Nismo thermostat.
There's a ton of other items available.
If you want the 2002 Nissan Motorsports Catalog, you can go to your local Nissan parts counter and order P/N 99996-CAT02
NismoPC 06-06-2002, 04:42 PM Sweet! I haven't heard of or seen a Nissan Motorsports catalog since I bought mine back in 1996 from a dealer in California while I was vacationing.
Glad to see they are back out again!!!!! Or should I say that someone actually acknowledges that they are now available again!
:D
DaGenesis 06-06-2002, 04:50 PM how much did it cost you?
98sr20ve 06-06-2002, 05:36 PM The rear transmission/engine mount was only $30 at my local dealer. Not a bad price.

What is that like? I've been looking for a good version of that particular mount only, but JWT won't sell theirs separately..
98sr20ve 06-06-2002, 09:42 PM The JWT mounts are very similiar to a stock Nissan part from another car, from what I was told. I might give this one a try also.

Dude! Where have you been?
The Nissan Motorsports catalog has always been available for the last several years.
I've got the last five catalogs right here at my desk.

I paid $8.00 at the stealer. But you can order them direct from Nissan Motorsports by sending $5.00 (US) to:
Motorsports Catalog
P.O. Box 191
Gardena, CA

Hehehe! :D
Well when I got mine back then, the prices seemed outrageous to me and most of the parts were for racing, etc. So I never really put much thought into looking for it after that. Also, the local dealers never really were interested in anything but parts, service, and sales. "Performance upgrades, what's that?". They did not even know how to get the catalog back then.
I go to Cali and they have one sitting right out on the parts counter.
I will be grabbing one of these though.
Subculture 06-07-2002, 10:27 AM Yeah, they also are carrying quite a few NISMO accessories.
Crono1321 06-07-2002, 11:17 AM Exciting! I'm going to go out and get mine!!
Chrissy 06-07-2002, 02:58 PM I went to the dealer today and they brought one out for me to look at. The GTIR turbo alone, single turbo, they wanted $900! Yeah they are expensive.
When I asked him to sell me a copy he said, I don't think they are for sale, it's only for the dealers. I'm like no its not but ok...that was the parts manager. He bugs me sometimes.

BULLSH*T!!!http://www.plauder-smilies.com/madgo.gif
Go back there and order this
P/N 99996-CAT02.
That's the P/N for the Nissan Motorsports Catalog.
If that idiot still won't order it for you, you can order the catolog from Nissan Motorsports (nmc.race@nissan-usa.com) direct.
Crono1321 06-07-2002, 11:57 PM Not to change the subject, but I hate the parts department at my Nissan store. Sounds like you have the same problem. They are so cocky they will not listen to you even though this customer knows what he needs more than you do, and probably just more knowledgeable in general. Like for example, my Valve cover bolts, they had to "back-order them from Taiwan" for 2 weeks, only to find out that was the wrong part...and the bolts I needed were in stock in their warehouse. What a dumbass. Sorry I'll step off the soapbox for now. :o
KikoSanchez182 06-08-2002, 03:20 PM haha, my parts department is the worst!!! they have NO parts at all in stock. ive been in there twice to look for 6 different items, none in stock. from water pumps to engine mounts to spark plugs and wires!!! NOTHING! they're freakin useless(not to mention one of my un-'car knowledgeable' friends went there to have an engine put in his pathfinder, $5,000!!!! bwahahahaaa)
rant over.....

BORNGEARHEAD 06-17-2002, 10:33 PM I work at a Nissan dealership and looked through the Nissan Motorsports catalog. Lots of good stuff. They have an aluminum lightweight flywheel in there that is like 8.5 lbs. I had him look up the price and he told me it was $333 my cost. I was like holy shit. All I can tell you guys is find someone who works at a dealer to hook you up. As far as having bad luck with parts guys, just inform them. Most parts guys think they are know it alls. If you are right prove it to them. They will probably respect you if you know your shit.
i went to my dealer and ask for the catalog, the gave gave me a stund deer in head lights kind of look and said i havnt seen one of those in 20 years. i was just like ooooook ill just go now.
ill have to go in with a part # next time.
NX$paniard 06-17-2002, 11:52 PM i tired ordering the rocker arm stopper by part # they cant even get the stuff yet..so dont get ur hoes up too soon///....maybe by next year we can order fromt eh 2002 catalog...
Sr20kidD 06-19-2002, 08:04 PM will someone just scan and post it.. how hard can that be.
