Generally, if someone spots someone that might be a member of the forums, they wave you down, or just wave/honk/whatever to let you know that they think they know you. Then they post up here, and see if someone responds.

I see you all around Brooklyn, to the point where I am practically walking in front of your car, but I do not say anything because sometimes I am not in car conversation mode. But we will talk....
